Great getaway

The previous comments about this hotel made me think twice before booking, however, I always like to make my own decisions so ... I decided to be my own judge. And I am exteremly glad I did. ALL reviews said the staff was rude, nasty, ect. We delt with over 25 ppl from the staff from the beggining to the end of our stay and every single one of them was fantastic. They were all more like family then staff. This on top of the fact that the resort was beauitful, peaceful and very relaxing made our stay outstanding. And the breakfast was so delightful that I can not say enough about it, Best EVER! I was spoiled by this stay and now I will hold every other place we stay to their standards. And I consider myself a well traveled person, we have stayed in a lot of hotels, resorts, motels all have nothing on this resort and the staff.

Was ok. Too far from downtown for my taste. Avoid the week-end, kids jumping around everywhere. The week was quiet and ... hanging out by the pool was great & relaxing. Orbitz forgot the mention the extra for mandatory overnight/valet parking.

We decided to stay here based on the close proximity to the hilly landscape of san Antonio, FL since we are cyclists from ... Pinellas County and LOVE the challenge of the hills. The resort was very clean and the staff was very accomodating. I would definitely stay there again!

The Smelly Room with hidden fees

My husband and I were going away for our anniversary . He had called a few days ahead and ordered flowers and champagne to be ... on ice to be in the room upon our arrival .( I called the resort from the airport to see if we could check in early they said our room was ready and that wasn't a problem.) The resort was expecting around 1:30 pm . When we checked in there was some confusion with reservation and we were asked to pay a fee of $48.00 for amenities and then a fee of $50.00 for valet . We were made well aware of the $48 fee when we booked our trip and it was documented on our paperwork . No where did it say anything about a $50 fee or were we made aware of it . The clerk said that she was moving our room to the other side of the resort if we didn't pay the fee (cluster 8). I am disabled and informed her that I could not walk to the pool and hotel from where she was going to put us , also we booked a smoking room and we were booked in a non-smoking room . We were eventfully put in our first room (cluster 3) . When we got there the champagne was NOT on ice it was sitting there warm air . The flowers were very nice though . We did not come back to the resort the next night till very late and the room smelled of cat urine , I went to the front desk and complained to [...] and was told a manager was going to call me in the morning ( I had left [...] my cell phone number because I knew that we would not be at the hotel all day) and the carpets were going to be cleaned when househeeping came in the morning . Coming back to my room at 10pm the next night the carpets were NOT cleaned and then a manger [...] wantedto change my room . We had to leave the resort at 4 am to catch flight home . I wish I had a better review for your resort . We also ate dinner at your steak house , it was ok but for you adding gratuity into your bill I shouldn't have to find my waiter to get my bill sitting in corner text messaging .

Wonderful family getaway

Our time at the Saddlebrook Resort was very relaxing and great fun. There were many activity's to keep the kids interested ... and out of trouble ha ha! The played tennis, enjoyed the fitness center, and swam for hours at the pool. The breakfast was outstanding and the lounge inside was very accommodating bringing me the most refreshing ripe fruit platter I have ever had (being its so hot outside)The only complaint I did have was my neighbors were a bit noisy and I was able to hear lots of talking. Other then that the beds were great, room service is delicious and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would defiantly recommend visiting here I had a wonderful time. Oh the spa services are relaxing and pleasurable as well.

Great staff, great tennis and golf. Rooms could be updated and brighter, and restaurant choices are limited. Overall, a ... nice vacation. Disappointed that there were no yoga or fitness classes offered.

We live close to Saddlebrook and went to relax at the spy, just get away. Rooms are older but the beds are new & comfortable. ... The food and drinks are very pricey. Great location, feels like you are in the middle of no where.

As usual the trip to Saddlebrook was great ! It allows folks that live nearby to get away from their daily routines and feel ... like we are 1000 miles away from home when in fact we were only 20 minutes from Home. Besides the great things Saddlebrook has to offer like Golf, Swimming, the Fitness Center & 3 great Resturants, Main Highway (rt54) has a number of well known resturants and now there is a huge new Shopping Center that allows for Rainy day activities. The rooms at Saddlebrook are exccellent all with great views of the Golf Course or Large Pool, and their is Music at the Pool on the weekends to enjoy as well.
