i came to royal with a few friends for jazz festival. i really enjoyed my stay. i was a little sad to go. the only thing was ... the bathroom is a little dated. looks like its stuck in the 90's with its decor. but otherwise clean at all times.

Good Location
Jennifer May 13, 2007
The hotel was at a good location. My experience with the hotel staff was very unpleasant which put a damper on my first ... trip to the island. The amentities at the hotel were good. The pool and beach areas were very nice. The resturant food was good although they had items on the menu that were not available.

A Wonderful Experience
Jeffrey Apr 16, 2007
The Royal was royal. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The reception was warm and welcoming and included rum punch. The room ... was spacious and comfortable. We had a balcony and view of the beach and pool. The flower petals spread on the bed, floor and bathroom were a very nice touch. The staff was very friendly. The only drawback was the food in the hotel was only average and the wait times could be excessive. The good news is that there are plenty of very good restaurants in walking distance. The only other down side was a lack of good shopping in the resort area. There were no jewelers, art stores, etc so you are out of luck if you want something other than the standard t-shirt, hat, etc
