We celebrated our wedding anniversary there and the staff made us feel special. The housekeeping staff left nice decorations ... with clean linens on our bed and left island flowers in our room. The hotel was first class and the food was great! We visited Negril for a day and seven mile beach is wonderful. We enjoyed this hotel better than our vacation in Ocho Rios.

Paradise

The Service was Top Notch!!! The staff very friendly and not too intrusive. The service stood out most for me. The grounds ... were a tropical paradise. The food excellent. I've stayed at at least 4 all-inclusive hotels new as well as older and this hotel surpassed them all thus far. This hotel is not a true all-inclusive though. Most of the food is included as well as some drinks. There are diffrent levels of all-inclusives there. You'll be fine with the regular all-inclusive if you don't need golfing and lobster for dinner etc. I love the fact that you can control your room temperature that was a plus. The bed, pillows were comfortable the decor was nice. You do get a room refrigerator but it is not stocked, the Three Palms Restaurant was under repairs so it was substituted to the beach area when I was there 09/14/09. The grounds were magnificent! The front of the building is misleading, not very beautiful but all in all a great resort.

The hotel was beautiful and very clean. Disappointed that the bar and grill closed at 5 PM. Not many options for room service ... either, your best bet is to eat at Fresh the buffet. The drinks were also weak. The hotel is about 15 minutes way from the airport an about 20 minutes from the Hip Strip, wished that it was closer as there were restaurants that we did not get to try, the closest place to eat is Scotchies, which is cheap and very good jerk chicken (spicy!)

The hotel was very clean and offered a lot to do on the grounds. I was very pleased with the service I came as a couple but ... I am looking forward to coming as a family I really like the idea that there is something for all age groups to enjoy. The location was great also not to far from the airport and other attractions.

Relaxing Rose Hall Resort
Traveling Duo Aug 22, 2009
Enjoyed our all inclusive four night stay. We had 2 queen size beds, flat screen TV, fridge. The beach was great with sandy ... bottom and only waist deep for about 30-50 yards out. Only drawback was that lounge chairs were very close together. People went out very early to get their choice spots on the beach and around the pool. We took our own inflatable tube and had it blown up at the location where you sign up for diving and boating excursions. Would have been nice to have more beach umbrellas. Fresh beach towels were plentiful and available each morning at the activity center. Food at Fresh restaurant was ample, tasty, and included enough variety to please everyone. We were able to get dinner reservations at Seaside Grill and Three Palms without a problem, but were not able to get into Luna. Entertainment at Fresh stage each night was OK. Male singer was not so good. Jamaican Cultural Group and Kids Show with staff talent were both done well. Staff was helpful and friendly for the most part. Wait staff at Fresh was sometimes slow. We would go back and probably participate in some of the tours if we had more time.

Really fun and relaxing trip!
Frankie Jul 23, 2009
The best thing about this hotel is the water park! Fun for adults and kids. Nothing beats swimming up in your inner tube to ... the swim-up bar and floating around with your drink in hand. The water slides are fun for everyone. The beach itself is very pretty. Warning-a lot of painful rocks you step on when you first go into the water. The guest rooms and bathrooms are very clean and had plenty of space for two people. Beds are extremely comfortable. Although the hotel is not the most luxurious hotel, it is still very elegant, pretty and well-maintained. We did the all-inclusive and it is well worth it. It would be a rip-off if you didn't! Especially if you drink a lot. The main restaurant, Fresh, is the best. Great tasting food with variety, hard to believe it is a buffet. The other fancier restaurants where you need to make a reservation are not that good. In fact, some of it was pretty bad. They try to be ultra gourmet, but they don't seem to really get it right. Also, if you are all-inclusive, the menus are limited and do not include steak. So it's always dry chicken and fish dishes. I would choose the buffet over the other restaurants any day and be totally happy. Only problem we had was checking in and out took forever. We only went outside of the hotel once, to Dunns River Falls, and that was great fun. We didn't feel the need to go anywhere else. The resort was plenty for us. Overall, we were very happy with the hotel, the food at the buffet, the rooms and the pools. It was a great combination of relax and play. We could have easily stayed an extra 2 days on top of our 5.

Wonderful time at the hotel. The most comfortable bed and sheets. However, when I booked the hotel i thought it was all ... inclusive since all my paper work stated all inclusive, but when i got to the hotel it was room only price. So when I got to the hotel I had to pay additional money for the all inclusive plan. They did give me a discount. No snacks for the late night folks like me.

the hotel is a beautiful resort with a beautiful rooms, full cable and beautiful pools and activities on the actual resort. ... The beach is not swimmable so don't go there if you would like to go to the beach however there are so many activities on the actual resort is enough to keep you occupied. they even have a waterslide, 3 jacuzzi's, a lazy pool a regular pool etc. There is a nightclub, game room, computers, the hotel has everything that you need in that one spot. My only complaint is that entertainment was constantly just amateur singers, the last night had the best entertainment, a full show was provided. food was okay but otherwise the resort caters to everyone. it was very nice.

Relaxing Spring Break!!
Vee Apr 24, 2009
We had a short 4 day stay during my 10 year old dauhgters Spring Break; we needed two more days. My mother, daughter and I ... all had a great time, relaxing and playing. We actually intend on going back with my brother and his family, soon. This trip was about my daughter having fun in the sun, and indeed she did; and so did we. The water park was a HUGE hit for us all; my daughter quickly made friends and they played on the beach, in the pool and at the water park together. I enjoyed the swim up bar at the water park. You have to get your beachside seating early, but there were plenty areas for relaxing. My mom enjoyed the morning water aerobics class. The staff was friendly, the food was good; I have no real complaints, I only wish I had planned a longer stay! We tried almost all but one restaurant. The buffet was nice and easy; and I always believe the all-inclusive route is the way to go. This was third time in Jamaica and my first stay in Montego Bay; I have seen prettier beaches, but it was cool for us. I think this is a great place for families with kids.

We chose the all-inclusive option which was great since we didn't want to have to find meals on our own outside of the hotel. ... The hotel was clean and the staff was very responsive to our needs. The kids loved taking part in all of the activies available(kayaking, swimming, ping-pong, scavenger hunt)..and they didn't even join the kids' club that is available!

Had a great time on vacation with our 14month old. Very clean, friendly, relaxed place. Beautiful, island paradise setting ... and amenities. The adjoining water park with a lazy river was just great. Between the park, the beach (plenty big in our opinion)and hotel pool there was always something to do. Great for older kids, as the hotel had daily activities. Would definitelly recomend to a friend. After reading bad reviews about food, it was much better than expected.

Dutchesstee Mar 9, 2009
Advertised as all inclusive on Orbitz, thought I was getting food included as I 'clicked on" All inclusive hotel and flight, ... 1 adult 2 children. Also called Orbitz and they confirmed that food and drink included. Got to hotel and "surcharge" of $90.00 per day for adult-$70.00 per child per day for food. $230.00 extra per day that I was told was included in vacation price. Meals on European plan-$52.00 per person. Verify with hotel that it does include food without paying this surcharge. Some people going thru travel agencies were correctly charged. I did mine thru Orbitz. No places close to eat without taking taxi/shuttle.Hotel was beautiful, waterpark fantastic.

First Class Stay
Raymond Aug 5, 2008
This was my first trip to Jamaica and traveling with my wife I was concerned about the hotel comfort and amenities. The hotel ... met my expectations and my wife was pleased. They said there were, I believe, 4 restaurants. They must have been counting the grill next to the pool and one off site. There are 2 major restaurants at the resort. I expected more sea food choices. There isn't much beachfront and you must walk through about 2 feet of rocks before you get comfortably on sandy ocean floor. They make there money on tourism so if you're not wise expect to be over charged. A taxi to Montego Bay will cost 25/per from the resort but if you feel comfortable going to the street you can get one for 20/ride or less. Barter is the name of the game. The average worker makes 50/wk so they stand to really make out if you're not savvy. I would have much rather gone out with some of the local spear fishermen with my underwater camers for 10 dollars instead of going out on a 60 dollar tour. have fun, spend some money, and come back with good memories.

our experience was magical, from the minute we stepped into the hotel to the moment we left everyone was so helpfull and ... curtious. This hotel is very modern and very updated, all contemporary including the rooms. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and comfortable..i would reccomend to make your dinner reservations for the week the first day you arrive because they can get booked really fast, both the 3 palm restaurant and the luna del mar was great.food and staff was very good. The water park was great to have and the beach was great. I will def. go back to jamaica and bring my freinds and family.
