Motel of Lies
Super Dog Sep 20, 2009
We stay at this motel because there was a photo on their website stating pets were welcomed. We reserved a room with a ... king-size bed with a HD TV. When we arrived at the motel. We were told that we couldn't have the room that we reserved due to our dog. So, we were put into Room 11. The room size was adequate but too small for two king size beds. Entering/Exiting the room was hampered by the distance from the door and the bed nearest to it. It felt that we always had to climb over the bed to get in and out. The overall decor of the room: The furniture was that of a rummage sale (mixed & matched)and very old, but the beds were very comfortable. The table lamp between the beds was tilted and unstabled. The TV stand had a single pole holding a TV set too heavy and too large for the stand. The TV was slanted downwards due to its size & weight. We felt it may fall over during our stay. The only access to an electrical outlet to plug in anything was an extension cord that was placed behind the dresser. Access to the cord was difficult. The towels were okay but one of the face cloths was coming apart big time. It could have been used as a rag, but not given to a guest. The three packets of face soaps left for use were all broken in pieces. The bathroom walls were partially painted that it looked like the job was not finished. The wall coverings were not consistent with the same design or color. The toilet always ran. Overall, the room was clean and quiet, but we felt our privacy was being evaded by the owners when they made the statement that our dog was on the beds. (He brought his own body pillow and dollies with him for the trip that was kept on the floor to sleep on). If that may be the case it's because our dog was too anxious to get out of the room to go potty. There was absolutely no room for anyone to get out without climbing over the bed!
