Residence Inn Charleston was very clean, comfortable, and the room was large with a living room and kitchen separate from the ... bedroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the complimentary breakfast was very good. The hotel staff and cleanliness of the hotel was very good...better than most hotels I've been to.

The shops downtown were only a short drive away (about 3 miles). There are a lot of shops and good restaurants and bars. Don't forget to try Hymans if you love seafood or Stickey Fingers if you love barbeque.
