A clean and beutiful hotel with amazing spanish inspired architecture and an awesome courtyard with a spanish fountain and ... comfortable seating. The room was very clean and the location can't be beat. Within steps of the best mall in Tampa and great restaurants and bars including the Cheesecake Factory and Bar Louie. There is no need to even get in the car, everything is right there. This hotel was one of the best and I can even say it compared to a Ritz experience.

Friendly and helpful staff. Great location, clean, comfortable, and quiet rooms. Missed having a refridgerator in the room ... and the ice maker, on the floor we were on, was broken during entire stay.

A great hotel for business or travel so long as you are not on a budget. Dont get me wrong. Hotel was very nice and staff ... was eager to please. If money is not an issue for you, this will be a great hotel. Location is fantastic. Adjacent to International Plaza Mall, which is a nice upscale mall. Also many great restaurants within walking distance. Short drive to Ybor City. My only complaint is everything cost money and is was expensive. Internet was $14 a day and a glass of wine or a mixed drink at the hotel bar was over $10 a piece (two drinks each for my wife and I cost over $50 after tip).

I love staying here at International Plaza - access to the mall and great restaurants, short drive to Ybor or downtown Tampa ... and not far from Clearwater. Rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms are quite nice. One thing I don't care for is the newer shower heads they are using - preferred the old Speakerman adjustable ones better than the piddly kohler ones now.

I was in Florida for only 3 days... The hotel location was great. Very easy to get to from the airport. The hotel was clean ... and in a great location, next to the mall. If you need anything late at night the hotel gift shop is open 24 hrs.

A Wonderful Get Away

From the moment we departed the airport to the rental car center, to the hotel, service was great. Everything was close by no ... long waits ever. The hotel was very nice and quiet even though there was a large group attending a convention, we never did hear or hardly see anyone in the halls and the service was excellent. I loved being able to walk out of the hotel and going to the adjacent International Plaza and Baystreet. We spent Friday at Clearwater beach which was lovely then on the 4th we dined at Columbia Restaurant & watched the fireworks from the St Petersburg Pier. I wished that I could have stayed in Tampa a few more extra days to see more.

The Renaissance Experience

The hotel was in a great location! It is a beautiful hotel and very upscale We were only minutes from downtown, 10 minutes ... from the airport and 15-20 minutes from Clearwater to enjoy the beach! The hotel was adjacent to the International Plaza mall with wonderful eateries and upscale stores. On a negative note, the hotel staff were very unfriendly. They had many activites going on at the hotel the weekend we stayed and I felt like the staff were more accomodating to these outside groups then paying hotel guest.

The Renaissance Tampa Hotel is my favorite hotel in Tampa. It's next to the International Mall and several wonderful ... restaurants. The hotel rooms are always impeccably clean, and the beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable. I always feel safe when I stay there.
