This hotel is great for a 1-night stay prior to flights out from LHR. Avoids the angst of trying to get from central London ... to LHR to catch a morning flight. Super location with views of runways and Terminal 1. Good bar and restaurant in the hotel. Room service is available. There's a McDonald's across the street for the budget conscious. The hotel is huge and spread out, with exercise room & sauna/steam at the basement level, along with cavernous rooms for large group meetings. Rooms are fitted out to a high standard, and are clean and well-maintained. A Hotel Hopper bus shuttles to LHR for a nominal charge. But there's a free London city bus -- no. 105 or 111 -- which stops on Bath Road in front of the hotel and takes you directly to/from the Central Bus Station at LHR. Very convenient, easy. Rack rates are very high, but Orbitz pricing represents very good value for this property.

We stayed overnight after a daytime transaltantic flight. It was fine although it took a while for the shuttle to collect us ... at Heathrow.

Busses 111 and 105 start from Heathrow bus terminal and run through Bathe Road where the hotel is situated. those busses are free.

Short ride from Heathrow via the Hotel Hoppa (which does cost four pounds, however!).

Very convenient if transiting in London
frequent traveller Aug 25, 2009
We arrived in the afternoon and spent the night for an early flight next day morning. The room was adequately clean and ... equipped. We were lucky to have a room situated at an angle that allows us to watch a good portion of the Heathrow airport runway and every landing plane, the view was spectacular. We wanted to go to central London to do some fun stuff so we asked the concierge about the cheapest and easiest way. They were so helpful to hand us a small paper leaflet with all the free busses that pass through the main street just outside the hotel entrance that terminate at the airport bus terminal where we get access to the underground. we came back late at night and dropped straight into bed. the bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was clean but the metal fixures seem to have been there for decades; really worn down. the hotel only provided shampoo, hand soap, towels, and a shower cap. for the price we paid, we expected some more amenities.

My review of Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel
Patricia Sep 25, 2008
Only there one night, a stop over on our way to Italy. My one complaint is that there was not any hot water for a shower in ... the morning (I would but it at luke warm at best). Based on the fact that they had a sign that looked like premade (i.e., not just put together that morning)I am guessing that this might be a common occurrence.
