The heating unit in my room would suddenly 'kick in' and make more noise than a mack truck starting up. What was up with ... that? Everytime I fell asleep, it would startle me and wake me up. I tried turning it down but it got super freezing in my room. It wasn't really ideal at all. Maybe it was just my room. I suppose it was an okay place for the cheap price.

Good motel near the airport
Jen1anda2 Oct 7, 2009
The staff was very friendly and helpful offering to set up a wake-up call when I checked in after they found out I had to ... catch a flight in the morning. There was a fly in my room that wouldn't leave me alone. The bed was comfortable. I do wish there would have been a continental breakfast or something to grab to eat on my way out but it is close to several restaurants. The price though [...] was exceptional and quite a bit lower than the posted price. I would stay there again if I'm ever in Milwaukee.

Good Value
L and D From Texas Oct 4, 2009
We needed a place close to the airport, reasonable and safe. The RRI supplied all of the above. A little hard to find at 1 ... AM coming from the airport, but not the hotel's fault - road construction was an issue. The staff was friendly and helpful, clean room and quiet night's sleep. The hotel is more than a little stingy with soap, one small face bar, no bath soap bar, for both of us. The night was cool and it was hard to regulate the heat in the room. But, all in all, it was a good value for the money. It would be nice to have a little something to eat in the morning, but oh well.

Not the best...
familytraveler May 26, 2009
Although they have updated the rooms with new furniture, paint job, and fixtures, the one thing they did not update was the ... mattresses. If you like soft, springing full size mattresses, well this may be the place for you - not me. The ice machine was out of order and it could have been cleaner (cheetos on the floor, not the cleanest bathroom floor). However, the shower was great. Probably would not stay their again.

We had a king room with free internet and daily USA today. The staff was friendly. We stayed a week and had to ask repeatedly ... to get our sheets changed (despite putting the card requesting a change on the bed) and fresh towels. The room was only vacuumed once during the week. Housekeeping seemed under staffed. They didn't get to our room until 6PM several days.

Close to the Airport
Jacob Dec 16, 2008
The Red Roof Inn Milwaukee Airport is an inexpensive option for spending the night extremely close to the airport. With the ... rooms opening to the parking lot, there is no protection from the weather. Unfortunately I had a rental car, so I am not clear on whether a shuttle to the airport exists. There is a bar across the street for those interested, but otherwise it is located in non-descript part of town just south of the airport. Overall, I was satisfied with my experience reducing my commute to the airport the following morning.

nap 'n fly with lots of help
Jeffrey Jul 16, 2008
I had a flight early in the morning and wanted to catch a few winks, wake, eat on location, shuttle to airport and park car ... for week while out of town (I live in Madison). When I checked in, the hostess was helpful and honest. She let me know the internet did not work, that they had been experiencing problems with it for some time but had reported problem to internet company. She was quite specific as to what the problem was, had been trying to fix it herself but told me honestly it likely would not work for my stay. Later I wanted to pop some popcorn bought on location but he microwave in the breakfast room was popping the corn poorly. She made the effort to let me into another room to use its microwave. This one did not work well either, destroying my bag of corn. She insisted on refunding my money, got me another bag and let me into another room where the microwave did work. Great bag of popcorn after all that! I made a mistake figuring when my flight left in the morning so I missed my flight. I returned to the hotel and they, without question allowed me to reuse my room I had checked out of and let me have a late check out so I could stay until the next flight left several hours later. All three shifts of staff went out of their way to make my stay as good as possible. I would gladly stay there again. I am sure with staff like that everything will be in working order before I return in a week.
