We were surprised by the hotel, the other hotels around were very nice. it was more like a motel. The hotel was very old and ... outdated inside. Smelled like old smoke, there was no air in the rooms. The towels were the size of hand towels. There was no blow dryer, or shampoo and conditioner, coffee pot, place to eat, Nothing! The TV didn't come in very clear at times. We basically slept in our clothes on the bed, and took showers when we got home. I will not stay there again.

Was difficult to find. Bathrooms need work badly. None of the soda machines worked! If you wanted something to drink they ... sent you to the hotel across the parking lot! Other then that it was a place to sleep and that's it.

HORRIBLE PLACE TO STAY AT
Unhappy Aug 20, 2009
The sheet didn't get changed, not tucked in, trash still in the trash bin, there was a shirt in the closet left by prior ... guest, toilet had "skid marks", ice bucket looked like someone threw up in it, the safety keychain on the door only had one screw holding the so called safety device, the fire alarm's battery was hanging out the unit, carpet by the air conditioning was wet due to the condensation, bathroom tiles were actually painted and paint chipping away.

It was awful. Dirty feeling from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. Everything felt dirty, from the bed to ... the towels. The shower was gross. If had not been arriving so late we wouldve left.

Don't Stay Here!!
FR Aug 13, 2009
i booked this hotel last minute due to the reasonable rates and my late arrival prevented me from getting a rental car. I ... have to say that this was the most uncomfortable feeling i have had in any hotel i have every stayed at. It appeard that is was a place where some unfortunate people were forced to live...kind of like the projects. I strongly believe that this hotel should not be marketed through Orbitz and is barely good enought to qualify as a halfway house. It is so bad that if i had my family with me i would have not endured that experience. Pay the extra money and do not stay here

Great value
Traveller Aug 13, 2009
Lobby was nice, front desk staff very helpful. Hallways were a bit dated (peeling paint, old carpets) but my room was ... wonderful. The water pressure is not great. Overall, great value for this town. Great base to visit the races at Saratoga Springs.

The staff were friendly, and we used a key card to get into the room. It was in a good location didn't have to search for ... the hotel. It is a small hotel and it really could do with a major face lift. There were no fans in the bathrooms. The maid service did not re-make the bed. They did clean the bathroom I think. The price was cheep, so I have no big problems. I guess there were some loud guests around 2 in the Morning but I did't hear them. I might stay again for the same or less price. We payed about 54 dollars a night for 2 nights.

Corridors & doors half-painted/peeling, not well ventilated, towels rough, no screen on window. It was nice to have a large, ... workable window instead of having to use the A/C. For the money & location, it was fine for a quick, overnight stay.

No Air Conditioning
Concert Goer Jul 26, 2009
The hotel was doing renovations so there was primer on most walls and it didn't seem like they were planning it out just ... doing things as they had time. Most windows in the hallways were scummy and the halls smelt weird, my best description would be "spring break smell". The room itself was clean and the bathroom seemed like they had just upgraded, but they painted the tile so some areas were different colors. The biggest problem was that the air conditioning was useless. We turned it on when we got to the hotel around 2:30pm and when we had returned at 12:30am the room was still over 80 degrees even though the windows were closed and it seemed to be blowing cold air. If i was there for more than one night i would have asked for a different room. Over all i would say its okay for a one night stay but thats it.

Affordable Place to Stay a Night
Concert Enthusiast Jul 26, 2009
My friends and I stayed here only a night. We were there to see Green day perform at the Times Union Center. We would be ... arriving home much too late if we drove back the same night so we decided to stay the night in Albany. This place was the cheapest we could fine. It is a real bare-bones kind of place and it was perfect for our needs since we didn't want to spend very much money. Our room was clean and the staff was nice and helpful. The bathroom towels aren't very soft, but the shower was decent. It was nothing spectacular, but for our purposes it was great.

The so so hotel
college mom Jul 5, 2009
I went for a college orientation. The hotel is small and older. It had the hardest beds I have ever experienced. The maid ... "forgot" to do my room the first day. It was a good price, but not sure it was worth it. No alarm clock, no hairdryer.
