the hotel was fine and much better than the usual $50 hotel. It was clean and not too small. Had a good location near I5 ... Freeway. Restaurants were available nearby and their food was very good. This wouldn't be a place to bring kids since there is nothing here geared to them except tv. The bed was really comfortable too. The shower had great water pressure and the towels were as good as new and very fluffy. Check in and check out was a breeze.

Stayed for an overnight before flying back home. The hotel is a good value and is convenient to the airport with a free ... shuttle service. There are several restaurants in the area within walking distance. Staff was courteous and helpful.

Attended a convention in downtown Sacrament but didn't want to pay $130/night for headquarters hotel. Ramada is 2.5 miles ... from downtown and very quiet despite being next to an I-5 on-ramp. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast included hot waffles. Restaurant sharing teh parking lot was convenient. There is a Monterrey Bay Cannery Restaurant within walking distance but three others had closed recently. Probably a sign of the times. There's also a convenience store across the street for purchasing snacks and drinks. Airport shuttle service also available. No complaints.

Customer service was great and the complimentary breakfast was great looking (make your own waffles, bagels, cereals) but ... unfortunately I woke up to late to enjoy but the cute little place next door had very good breakfast. Surrounding area was ok, but the room was creepy and so was the halls of the hotel,as a woman I wouldn't walk around alone.

The carpets were dirty and stained.I liked having the coffee pot and refrigerator.i accidently orderd a pay per view movie ... while my husband was taking down things to the car.i was trying to review what was coming on.i went down stairs to pay for it and explained to the clerk that i accidently ordered it and she said it was 13.99.She said they charge you 25.00 until you check out so she would take it off of that.we were not told we were being charged 25.00 when we checked in.my husband called to talk to the manager and was told he was not in but would have him call us back.We have not received a return call.The rooms do not have any information on pay per view movies.Beware!We would not ever stay here again.We would not order a movie when we were getting ready to check out.i feel this is a way for them to make more money.

I was in Sacramento apartment-hunting and wanted an affordable stay while I was there, as I planned on being in town for 5 ... days. I chose the Ramada Inn at Discovery Park, and was impressed by the folks there. The staff was friendly and helpful, although I had no major needs or crises (always a good thing but never a guarantee). The room was generally clean and the necessities (e.g., decent furniture, shower head, bed comfort, etc.) were all fine. As for the amenities, my experience was fair. The pool is nice and average-sized and goes six feet deep, which is good for those who like to get a decent workout by simply swimming in place without their feet always scraping the bottom. The continental breakfast was okay...good, store-bought muffins and cereals, along with a waffle-maker, the latter of which I did not use, that seemed fine. However, their fruit was slightly below par, in terms of selection and taste, and their lone protein consisted of peeled, hard-boiled eggs (which is, albeit, quite normal for the price). However, their orange juice machine was non-operational, and no diet cokes were available in the machines (sold out). My room contained a mini-fridge and microwave, both of which worked great, so I didn't have to rely solely on the breakfast/drinks provided/sold by the hotel, much less on fast food, the entire trip. All in all, my stay was fine and within "normal limits" considering the price per night.

We ate at Lyons, just across the parking lot--plentiful food and reasonably priced. There is a seafood restaurant and a more upscale riverfront restaurant also within a block. The hotel is very near Discovery Park, and Oldtown Sacramento is just one freeway exit down the road.
