It's okay
Traveler Sep 9, 2009
We have stayed at Ramada at San Diego and naturally compared this one to that. This one definitely did not meet expectations. ... The breakfast doesn't have many options and the muffins and breads aren't fresh. We stayed for 3 nights and the room cleaning did not care to provide us with more shampoo or lotions if the tiny ones they had given us were already over. We had to move to another room after one night as the door wouldn't close properly there was no hot water. The room had refrigerator and microwave oven which was good. Overall it was an okay experience.

Needs complete renovations
chollywallysimpson Aug 5, 2009
Rooms are really in poor condition. Rugs are dirty and furniture is very old and beat. AC was very noisy and not adequate, ... small refrigerator froze everything, bugs in the light fixtures and no replacements of soap, coffee, cups, tissues or toilet paper unless we asked. We would not have stayed if there were other openings available. The people at the desk were very nice and helpful, but the placed smelled in more ways then one!

Won't Return
Not Returning to Ramada Jul 30, 2009
My primary reason for staying at Colorado Springs' Ramada was business, although my husband and I chose beforehand to stay ... longer for some sightseeing and made our online reservation for three nights. This facility was at least 30 minutes away from ALL of the Springs' sites; Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, Glen Eyrie, the Current Outlet, etc. Plus the general neighborhood was run down with abandoned buildings, tattoo parlors and pawn shops. The motel itself shared property with an empty Blockbuster Video store. The online description makes it sound like it's conveniently located. . . it's not. The motel's WiFi was down during our three-night stay however the general manager was kind enough to invite me to use the only working one behind the reservation desk. The general manager and most of her staff were sympathetic and accomodating but, early Thursday morning when I was using the front desk computer, an overnight employee stomped out from an inner office snatching the keyboard from my hands and screaming, "You can't help yourself to corporate property anytime you want. This is a breach of security!" "Yesterday, your manager said I could use it because I'm here on business." "That was yesterday!" she said stomping off. Then added, "I've heard about you and your problem." Along with this most unpleasant front desk employee, the hot tub wasn't! When we stepped down into it, the water was lukewarm. . .but bubbly, like sitting in a whirling pool of urine. When I brought this to the front desk's attention the employee told me a previous guest broke the thermostat and they were waiting to have it repaired. The glass exit door nearest our room was broke and a sign taped on the door told guests not to use it. This is a fire code violation and made us uncomfortable to think if there were a fire, we'd not be able to use the nearest exit. The in-room refrigerator froze the food I brought with me, but I didn't say anything to the general manager because I didn't want to add to my growing list of complaints. Breakfasts were a carb-fest. The hot cocoa machine distributed a wattery brown liquid, which most guests rejected by placing their half-filled cup of mystery fluid back on the counter. While the general manager and all but one of her staff were pleasant and professional, I found the facility unacceptable and couldn't wait to check out of what I now refer to as "Hotel Hell."

You don't get what you pay for
Buisness travelers Jul 27, 2009
Room selected advertised 2 Queen plush top beds and free wireless internet. The beds felt like sleeping on springs with only ... a very thin layer of padding. The internet was not working until late Friday. The continental breakfast leaves much to be desired. This hotel is way over priced and I would not recommend it to anyone. We were shocked because by selecting Ramada we believed we were getting a certain quality level. We have stayed at Motel 6's that were better.

Not great for the price
Teneil Sep 20, 2008
The Ramada Limited East was okay but seemed high priced for what I received. For the price I paid I have stayed at much ... nicer placed for the same or cheaper price. The rooms were somewhat clean, but the bathroom needed a little more attention. Also, the tile on the bathroom floor was cracked all over and had the cracks had been filled. It looked very tacky and should have been replaced. I wouldn't stay here again for the same price.

smoky
Brad Sep 2, 2008
Some of the rooms were set aside for smokers but unfortunately the ventilation system in the hotel allowed all the public ... areas of the hotel to reak of smoke. During the weekend when the hotel was full then the smoke smell was extremely bad and was sucked into our room. It helped when we plugged the cracks around the door with toilet paper.

Patricia Jul 14, 2008
Staff very friendly; breakfast options each day were very good. Belgium waffle available too! Nice indoor pool. ... Accessibility to local roadways and exits very good. We were on the second floor, consisted of smoking and non-smoking rooms. Strong smell of cigarettes when you got off elevator; our room was non-smoking. Newspaper every day, including on weekends. Would definitely stay here again.

Room looked rundown
Dina Sep 4, 2007
The Ramada Inn East staff was very nice. They fixed the TV quickly. The breakfast was sufficient. However the condition of ... the room could use a little help. There was mold in the bathtub ceiling, the mattress needed to be replaced, it felt worn out. The curtain was falling off the wall. The exit door had to be slammed to get it shut. The bedspread had a burn hole in it. Very dissapointed.

Great Place
April Aug 1, 2007
I enjoyed staying at the Ramada. I had a great time. The staff was very nice and helpful. I checked in with the hotel manager ... and she was very helpful. Check in and check out were very easy and quick. The pool and hot tub were also average. the hot tub could have been a little bit more warmer but otherwise it was fine. The vanity area was seperate from the bathroom and that was perfect. The room was also very clean. When I take another trip to that area I will be staying at this place again.
