Never again
Ryan Nov 3, 2008
This hotel was dirty, screens falling of windows, no batteries in the TV control, no light bulbs, and no shower head. We ... took a hosing rather than a shower. When we complained they said they would send maintenance up--we complained 3 times and no response. We also had to catch the limo to the airport at 3:30 and they made us (including my 90 yr old father!) stand outside in the cold because the lobby was not open yet--even though there were staff there!

The couch was worn, dirty and torn. Kitchen sink hot water was disconnected, bedroom closet inaccessible due to a queen bed ... 10 away, no heater in bedroom or bath, the whole unit smelled, ice machine broken, two washers only one worked, no door knobs on two doors into breakfast area, carpet dirty, stains on walls, sloppily painted, paint on lighting fixtures, bathroom so small you had to stand to the side to close the door,no variation in breakfast menu, door lock/trim not repaired properly from obvious break in attempt. But the lobby was nice.

The Ramada Inn and Suites Opryland South Nashville turned out to be in a great location for our planned time there. I liked ... the fact that I was within 10 minutes of most locations I wanted to visit. Although I drove to the Hotel, It was located near Nashville airport which I thought was another plus.

Nice Hotel
Nicholas Dec 6, 2007
The Ramada had a great shuttle service that pick me up at the Airport and took me to the hotel. My check in was quick and ... easy, and the room was pretty clean. The hotel staff were very friendly, and gave you a little southern hospitality. I would stay at this hotel again and thought the place was nice.

Near the airport...
Stephen Nov 29, 2007
This Ramada Inn, located near the Nashville Air Port was a bit run down, not to mention that they have construction going ... on. However, of real value here is that you can leave your vehicle for 7 days for each night you stay here and they have free shuttle service to and from the airport... So, if the airport is charging you $8.00 a day, that's $56.00 you save on parking fees which pretty much pays for your nights stay. This reason alone is why I've arranged to stay here again upon my return from Florida. The rooms are a bit dark. Too bad more motels/hotels don't install some energy efficient and bright 23 watt CFL's ( compact fluorescent lights ) so their guests don't have to squint to read a book or magazine. If you are going to be away 7 days or more, and you are leaving out of Nashville International Airport, then this motel is worth looking into. I might also add that there is a brochure in the rooms & in the lobby for a local pizza outlet that delivers, and I plan to try them out on my return. Ya gotta eat!

Opryland is located just a few miles North of this location as well as a large shopping area. Gallatin Parkway cuts around the outside of Nashville so you can avoid I-24 though 10 lanes of traffic isn't exactly void of risk.

Nashville Ramada
Kurt Sep 27, 2007
During my stay the hotel was going thru and extensive renovation that was poorly coordinated, paint materials were strewn all ... over. Fifteen minutes after checking in a maitenenace emplyoee knocked on the door to come in to change filters and check for repairs, since the hotel was only about 50 % occipied and it was after 6:00 PM I found this to be poorly planned. The room was recently renovated but done very poorly, bathroom door hung upside down and paint stains everywhere. The room did appear to be clean however. Also the room was a non-smoking room that had a bedspread with cigarette burn holes.

Being remodeled, not bad
Chad Aug 5, 2007
This Ramada is being completely remodeled, so I can't speak for what it will be like in 6 months. The room we were in was ... very nice and clean. The bed was VERY comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and water pressure was good. I would be right on the edge of recommending this hotel. I wasn't crazy about the location. I didn't really feel threatened, just in a lower grade area. All in all, a nice stay, but I will most likely look elsewhere next time I'm in Nashville.

Not good...
Terry Jul 18, 2007
I had a late check in. The signs were poorly posted and the hotel staff was very indifferent to it all. The room's couch was ... extremely stained, the smell was a mix of musty and some kind of cover-up that didn't work, the bathroom door came within a quarter inch of hitting the toilet, and the curtains in the bedroom were constantly falling slightly open to the parking lot/sidewalk (very used) outside. Oh...and did I mention they were doing renovating in the SAME AREA I WAS STAYING? Near the hotel location there was a lot of traffic due to road work - I arrived at night and got lost due to being in the wrong lane... The only nice thing about the hotel was that TV worked.

Very unsafe
Lynda May 19, 2007
My experience was horrible. My daughters and I were traveling alone for the first time. We went out for dinner, and got ... back to the room around 9:30 p.m. My older daughter was watching TV, when a young man open our door with his and stuck his head in. The only protection was the top latch was on the door. This person came to our door on two occasions. When we reported this the cleck told us that someone must have coded the keys wrong. The bottom lock did not work, and he said he would have maintenance to check it out later. We stayed up all night because we were afraid. They people above us and below us had all night partys. They were in the parking lot all night long. We checked out the next day.

Dingy/Not Well Kept
Cristina May 13, 2007
The first room we had was very dingy in its lighting...the couch was old and the TV went out after 1/2 hour of watching ... it. They then moved us to another room. It had a funny smell, and the door to the bedroom didn't shut, which was very frustrating because we had a snorer in the group. It was just an OK experience. Would not recommend it to anyone.
