Perfect getaway for couples or families.
J.-P. & Marysol Aug 31, 2009
The Radisson at St. Martin left us wanting more! We went as a couple, but can't wait to take our young son. There is so much ... to see and do. The picturesque drive into the resort welcomes you even before stepping into the boutique hotel lobby. It's friendly and accomodating staff are available for all your needs. The drinks prepared by [...] at the beach/poolside were superb! [...] worked poolside and provided us with a warm greating and fresh towels for our dip in the luxorious pool. Awaiting a future rendevous at the St. Martin Radisson. Suggest you book yours as soon as you can!

Beautiful secluded resort
suzanne Jul 25, 2009
The Radisson had it all. The surroundings were peaceful and enchanting. The views spectacular. Everything was immaculate ... and the food delicious. Both the pool and beautiful beach are just a few steps from the rooms. Although families were there with their children and seemed to be enjoying themselves, we felt ours would have gotten a bit bored.

A Great Stay
Elliott Jul 22, 2009
We really enjoyed the Radisson St. Martin and would definitely stay there again. The hotel is located in a relatively ... secluded area over a steep hill from the main road. If you're planning to stay there I would definitely recommend hiring a car. There just aren't many taxis on the island except around the larger towns so a car is indispensable for exploring the island and will actually save you money in the long run. The beach at the hotel is pleasant, relatively quiet and sheltered by steep hills so wave action is minimal. There are also several other beaches within a few minutes drive from the hotel for those that want more action. We ate at the beach-side restaurant on our first evening. The ambiance is great and the food quality was good though we did have better meals elsewhere on the island. In particular, I would recommend the Italian restaurant directly across from the hotel entrance "La Locanda." The food was fabulous and we ate there two nights out of a four night stay -- I had the Osso Buco the first night and the veal chop the second. They also have an outstanding selection of wines in various price ranges.

If you're looking for plenty of dining options near the hotel, head over to Grand Case about 10 minutes drive. There are a number of French and local restaurants lined up overlooking the sea. We ate at Tastevin and enjoyed it immensely.

Excellent Low Season Vacation!
Young married couple Jul 1, 2009
We absolutely loved the Radisson! It is a beautiful quiet resort on a beautiful beach. It probably helps that we traveled ... off peak (peak is Nov - Apr). A couple of things to keep in mind: You'll need to rent a car to explore the rest of the island and try to avoid renting the smallest car. The Radisson is a 10 min drive from Grand Case (great restaurants and lolos - about $30 taxi ride round trip), and 30-40 min drive from Phillipsburg & Maho Bay (casinos and nightife - about $60 taxi round trip). So at about $30/day it's more cost effective to rent a car. The island is small and the N7 is the main loop. It's hard to get lost. There are a lot of steep, narrow, hilly roads so the smallest cars seemed to have trouble making it up the hills. This is especially important since the Radisson is at the base of a massive hill. The service was excellent. One of the bellmen, [...], was especially helpful with nightlife suggestions and even changed the tire when we got a flat on our rental. One last thing: bring cash! Many locations on the French side will do an even exchange between euros and dollars if you pay in cash.

The Great Escape....
Julie Jun 18, 2009
The location of the hotel is in a quiet part of the island but still very close to many great beaches, shopping in Marigot, ... and wonderful french food in Grand Case. The Radisson had its own beautiful and peaceful beach to relax by, or you could partake in the many water sports and trips that they offered. I wanted a restful trip and that is exactly what I got. Would definitely return to this hotel again. Would be a great place to bring kids the next trip....had volleyball court, croquet, boccee ball, water sports, the gym. The trip is what you want to make it.
