Very quiet in heart of Jerusalem

The Prima Palace was one of only two hotels available to me on a recent trip to Jerusalem over the 60th Anniversary ... Celebration. The location was convenient to the Old City - 15 minute walk; and cabs were available to the Convention Center and elsewhere. If you want a quiet place that is not commercial, in the heart of Jerusalem, this is a great place. The hotel is classified glatt kosher, and does cater to ultra-orthodox Jews; thus providing an authentic, practical Shabbat experience. The hotel staff was extremely helpful in connection with getting cabs and answering questions. The Friday night Shabbat meal was very, very excellent! The hotel suggests making reservations for the shabbat meal early in the week, but I had no trouble arriving on Friday and getting a reservation for that night.
