Whatsgood Nov 4, 2009
Hotel was clean, modern. Cleaning service was done at specific time at our request, since we liked to sleep in late. Casino ... layout is confusing, even after 7 days we still did not quickly find the entrance or our elevators from the casino floor. One of the best night clubs and a great lounge are right in the casino. Great restaurants are available without leaving the casino as well. I would have liked to have free internet access, at least for my iphone. Even for that the charge was $14 per day. Ventilation in the bathroom was not working, but other than that no issues. Any concern was quickly addressed.

Thought the hotel rooms were clean & spacious with a very nice bathroom. Our biggest dissapointment was the walk from their ... car park through the shops, then the casino dragging luggage to registration. Not a lot of thought in that decision. Thought the 2 bottles of water, newspaper, & club amnities extra $5-99 at check out was a cheap skate trick.

GREAT LOCATION - WOULD LIKE FOR THE HOTEL TO EXPLAIN HOW GREEN PROGRAM WORKED AS WE DID NOT FIND OUT UNTIL THE DATE A CHECKED ... OUT. - ALSO THE ADDITIONAL FEE OF $5 PER DAY FOR TWO BOTTLES OF WATER, PAPER AND LOCAL PHONE CALLS, NOT WORTH IT, BUT IS MANDATORY FOR STAYING ON THE STRIP - NOT GOOD IN THIS ECONOMY.

the meal tickets were not good at all there were places on the map that said they were part of the meal tickets and when we got there they would not take it and you could only eat at one place once a day. so this would not be a good option for anyone i think it should be posted that the card are this way we would not have gotten them

The receptionist at my check in was the first indication that I was going to enjoy my stay. [...] greeted me with a big ... smile and welcoming hello along wtih a booklet of freebies/coupons for taking advantage of the amenities. Given that these type of resorts inflate all their costs any savings is helpful.

Had a little problem with my room keys, had to take a couple trips from floor 31 to lobby and back. I appreciate the "drinks ... on us" program, however I only drink beer, no liquor or wine. Wish the Spice Market had a set price for a 24 hour period instead of one sitting. Would have liked to have a Map of the Hotel including a map of casino and other floors. I was lost trying to find things.

pete Oct 28, 2009
Walking into PH, I was very impressed. All the bold colors and crystals were very pleasing to the eye. When checking into ... the hotel, the desk person checking us in was not that friendly. He told us that we did not have a reservation. We booked through [...]and I know the bill was paid on my credit card already so how could we not have a reservation? He told us that we needed to call [...] to figure it out. I called [...] and they gave me a confirmation number. I took that to a new front desk person and she said that was not a valid conf number. Very frustrating at this point. She was much nicer and called [...] herself. She said that it would be about an hour until we could check in because [...] never faxed over our reservation when we booked it through them. Moral of the story, call ahead of time to make sure your reservations are secure. We would have been screwed if PH was full.

DO NOT belive the people on the street trying to give you free stuff in order to go look at their time share!!! This place called the Grand View has people all throughout every hotel on the strip especially the Venetian. They say"I can get you free tickets,dinner..etc." "all you have to do is go look at their resort. They said it would only be 2 hours. 4 hours later and mean management at this place when we told them NO we do not want to buy a time share, we finally got our free stuff they promised us. Do not go look at Grand View vacation ownership. Time shares are the biggest waste of money you could possibly invest your money in. Who wants to pay all this money for 1 week out of a year? They tell you you can sell if, but how could you possibly get someone to buy it from you when they keep building new ones? And then all the yearly fees, these people were the biggest liars i've ever met! Not happy about that experiece, but in the end we got a bunch of free stuff.

Astrid Oct 27, 2009
We used the pools of which they have two, pool deck was a little crowded but there is plenty of room on a lower deck a bit ... away from the pools. Played a little blackjack but wasn't impressed with the decorum which seems to cater to the younger single crowd. Casino seemed noisier and layout was more confusing then other hotels. The rooms were a nice size, clean and quiet, but no refrigerator in the rooms.

just some dude Oct 27, 2009
Planet Hollywood had all the game areas, restaurants, shops, etc. that one would want in a typical Vegas hotel. The service ... was quite poor, however. Our room hadn't been cleaned when we arrived. It took them so long to get it cleaned that we had to switch rooms to catch a show that night. People not as friendly as one would expect. Not sure if PH (and other hotels) are short-staffed right now. But can't recommend based on experience with staff. Better experiences at mulitple other hotels.
