Good place to stay in transit

I paid 20 pound extra for the business upgrade which included room up grade, drinks, canapes, breakfast and internet. You ... have to pay 14 pound to use the internet so it was worth the extra six pound for the upgrade. However i didn't need it and found the internet to be quite exspensive without it.

Outstanding value, great location

Just wanted somewhere clean and affordable for an overnight stay before taking a flight from LHR. Got exactly what we ... wanted! Maybe we got lucky and got a recently updated room (I don't know), but our room overlooking the main parking lot was spotless, large and equipped with everything you normally expect to find only at $300+ 5-star hotels: large bathroom, double shower-head, iron/board, safe, coffee-maker, microwave, flat-screen TV, Internet, etc, etc. Shuttle (£4 pp) to/from LHR leaves (very promptly and reliably) every 20 mins; only stops at one other hotel, so it's not as if you're stuck doing a roundabout tour of half a dozen other hotels. Only negative is that we waited in a huge line for nearly an hour to check in; it was 8:30 at night and they did have 4 desks manned, but it was a nevertheless a lousy intro' to what, in fact, turned out to be great place to stay. At $80 a night, an fabulous bargain! Definitely where we'll be staying in future, whenever we're near LHR.

We were encouraged to upgrade to a VIP room, for less than the cost of breakfast for the two of us. This upgrade got us a ... better room, free drinks and hors d'oevres until 9:30pm and free breakfast. That was as excellent deal. We were just stopping over between plying from the Maldives and then flying on to Los Angeles.

Don't Drink the Water
Still Chugging Aug 18, 2009
This hotel is very close to Heathrow Airport and can be reached by local buses in about 5 minutes at no cost. It is also ... easily accessed by the Hotel-Hoppa for 4 British Pounds. The big drawback for us was the sign in the bathroom that said not to drink the water! However, they only provided a 330 ml of water and if you wanted more you needed to call housekeeping. We thought that, if you couldn't drink the water, they would at least put a liter bottle of water in each room. Apart from this the room was both pleasant and quiet. There is a nice pizza restaurant just around the corner and a pub across the road. If you have an early flight out of Heathrow this would be a good choice.

Convenient Heathrow hotel
Tony Jul 28, 2009
I just used the hotel as a stopover before an early flight the next day. It's about as close as you can get to the airport. I ... didn't use any of the hotel facilities. The bedroom was small but comfortable and quiet. You can get a good rate with an advance internet booking. Fast and efficient check-in/check-out. No courtesy transport to the terminals: your choices are the airport bus service (4GBP per person each way) or taxi (12 to 15GBP each way). Be aware that getting to Terminal 4 is significantly more difficult than Terminals 1,2,3 and 5. (The same applies to most other Heathrow airport hotels.)

Hotel is just outside Heathrow Terminals 1,2 &3 and connects (at 4 Br. Pounds each) to Terminal 5. Continental flies from ... Terminal 4, which requires a cab at 15 B.P. for a compact or 22 B.P. for full size cab (2 adults and 4 pieces of luggage). So location is excellent if you are not flying on Continental.

The concierage was very helpful-a chap from Ireland. The little Italian place with take out pizza made my daughter's day-so ... we could return to the room and watch Wimbledon coverage. The air conditioning was fabulous after a hot two weeks in Europe- and the proximity to terminal 4-can't be beat!

Park Inn Heathrow..best value!
Colin Jun 21, 2009
The hotel was a short 15 minute bus ride from terminal 2. It is a very modern yet comfortable and extremely clean place to ... stay. Everything in the room was in brand new condition and the bed was very comfortable(I actually overslept and was close to missing my flight back to the states!) The concierge was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when I asked for transit and directions to points of interest. There is also a rather large and inerseting restaurant that doubles as an entertainment venue. Bravo, has a large menu with a la carte and buffet options. There was a band playing there the nite that I stayed. The hotel was also convieniently located to the bus stops and. The best part of it all was that when I arrived, the sign behind the desk stated that the basic room rate was 250 Pounds!! When reserving with cheaptickets all I paid was 109 Dollars!!!

A good place to stay near the airport
Sini Oct 26, 2008
Park Inn is very near to Heathrow aiport. This place may not be a good place to stay if you planning to visit London since it ... is far from central london. The facilities were really good. The breakfast buffet was good, but for dinner the options were limited. There are no restaurants near by, so you would have to eat in the hotel restaurant. Room was comfortable. There is a bus shuttle every 15 mins to various terminal of Heathrow aiport and this is very useful.
