Incredible!

It is incredibly beautiful! Directly at the beach with white sand and beautiful warm water. The owners were very friendly and ... gave us some great tips what to do and how to get around. The room was simple and not very large, but we didn't want to stay inside anyway ;). And for the good price I didn't expect a huge room anyways. We went in October which is off-season and it was very very peaceful! It felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves and we often were the only customers in the nearby restaurants. Perfect if you need a quiet time to relax! We rented a car for 2 days to explore Tulum, Coba, Xel-Ha and some Cenotes. I can encourage everyone to do that, since there are only 2-3 restaurants and tiny shops in walking distance. The roads were in great condition, just watch out for the speed bumps! I'd come back here anytime!

Culture Connection

12 hour electricity was not a real problem for us. We spent days snorkeling, swiming, shopping, walking, visiting ... archeological sites, eating or just reading. Electricity comes on about 6:30 PM and off again about 8:00 AM. This hotel has a nice pool, but it does not really have a spa. Internet connection was spotty. No coffee maker in the room as advertised, although good quality coffee is supplied in a central location by staff each day. There may have been once, but there is no longer a restaurant on site. Rooms are very clean. Maid service is excellent and always a smile and kind word. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They were willing to do whatever they were able to make our stay comfortable. Many other guests were Mexican which added to the enjoyment and cultural connection. It was fun to meet other folks. Price was very competitive for the Tulum Beach area. No complaints about cost. Location is as convenient as expected for this region. Security is rather impressive for the size of the hotel. Many super restaurant choices on the beach and downtown Tulum. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who is not looking for a gated community with a full menu of health spa and food services.

Interesting shops south of Tulum and east of Tulum on the road to Coba.
