Great after initial check-in!!

Loved this resort..very clean and peaceful. We stayed in 2 bdr condo looking out over the marina. The beach was wide and ... great for swimming, not rocky like other hotels in PVR. The food was good for snacks and lunch-we ate dinner off the property. Taxi fare is reasonable to the downtown. Plan to stay here again in a few weeks. We went with another couple and were very satisfied. Check in is strictly at 4 and we arrived early due to plane, so it was a wait. Overall, very nice.

They don't call it Paradise for nuthin'!
The Squid Girl Apr 22, 2009
This was my second trip to Puerto Vallarta and specifically to Paradise Village. I enjoy the laid back atmosphere and layout ... of the grounds. As a disabled traveler, accesibility and amenities such as shuttles to/from the mall, etc, are important elements for me. I was never inconvenienced in terms of getting to my room (away form the main tower) with luggage or groceries (or anywhere else on the grounds). The housekeeping and bellboy staff made my stay especially enjoyable, even ensuring that dishes were done in a few cases. This was above & beyond their daily duties and I hadn't even requested the additional service. The bellboys were very thoughtful, prompt & helpful. The pool is lovely (spent my time in the "quieter" of the 2 pools). My only complaint is the poolside service is a bit lack-luster - especially during happy hour (5 - 6 pm) when it would greatly benefit the facility to make more than 1 pass. I will certainly return to Paradise Village!

It's worth taking a taxi to Mega Comercial or Walmart to do 1-time/weekly grocery shopping. The mall onsite is fine but limited & pricey. Cab runs about $6 - $20 ea. way, depending on number of people (we were 7). They have cabs waiting outside when you come out. Very easy & convenient.

The shopping mall has many restuarants and shops and it also has a grocery store that has helpers bring your larger purchasing back to your room. It is only a couple minute walk to the shopping center with no busy roads to cross.

Relaxing Location

We love this hotel it is wonderfully quite and beatiful. The beach location is perfect, there is lots of room for everyone ... to enjoy. The hotel is also next to the Harbor which has a lot of beautiful yachts to watch. The beach staff goes out of their way to make you feel taken care of. We will be returning next year for another wonderful vacation.
