Nice Getaway!

Staff was friendly, and helpful. Buffet was very tasty. It was a person availble to prepare hot to order omelets. (Very ... Good). I was glad I did not bring any kids it is not kid friendly. My sister was not able to sit in the sun for a long time on there beautiful pool deck, we asked for umbrella's and was told they were all broken. Not good customer service. Did they not know it was broken before requested.

The hotel was great. I arrived in the early evening and the entire staff was very helpful. The room was very nice and had a ... great view of the river. I liked that jacksonville landing was so close. That was where we spent most of our time. If I were to plan another trip to the jacksonville area, I'd stay here again.

This was my third stay at the Omni Jacksonville...The room was immaculate as was the pool area ---water was crystal clean. ... Staff is always super courteous--everyone goes out of their way to see that your stay is enjoyable. Went to the Riverside Arts Fair on Saturday, Jacksonville Zoo, and visited shops in the Five Points district. Wouldn't condsider staying anywhere else in Jacksonville!!!

The Landing is where to find restaurants, a few shops and lots of entertainment. On Saturday and Sunday live music starts at noon and goes until 2am. Also you can catch the SkyWay right behind the hoteal and for 50 cents find other places to explore.

Security Issue

The hotel served our need for being close to the Gator Bowl; however, while we were in bed with the door locked, a stanger ... was able to open the door and enter our room. He left quickly when told he was in the wrong room. We phoned the front desk to report the incident and they were going to send someone to look around. No one from the hotel came to our room to see if we were ok nor did they call us back to check on us. I will not use this hotel again due to the lack of security and apparent lack of concern by the management.

Staying at the Omni was wonderful. The staff was very friendly, room was spacious and clean, meals were great and the ... convenience of being close to The Landing was a plus. I wouldn't hesitate to recomend this hotel to anyone.

This is a very nice hotel. One problem... we checked in on Sunday, so the hotel shop wasn't open. The vending machines were ... not working, so it was difficult to find something to drink. Staff was helpful, providing soft drinks. Close to a river-walk area with shops and restaurants. Right across the street from the Times Union Amphitheater, so it was very convenient for attending a concert there.
