It was such a pleasant surprise to open the door to our room and see a full sized kitchen, beautiful view of the ocean, free ... wi-fi, comfortable bed and very clean and spacious bathroom. It was a treat to stay in a suite and not just a hotel room.

I would stay again...the rooms are just fine if you are going to spend most of your time outside anyways. I would stay again. ... I love the spa and pool area. We had oceanfront view and the balcony window was very big and it made the small room feel big. We enjoyed our stay, nice hotel. We enjoyed the fitness room and the indoor resturant. We would stay again for sure.

We arrived at 10:30 am and the room was already avaliable which was great. The room was clean. The staff were helpful. The ... restaurant was very reasonably priced for breakfast, and yummy! On our second day, the maid threw away an empty shopping bag which contained a reciept that was vital to returning a bathing suit I decided not to keep. The catch is the bag was hanging on the bathroom door, not in the trash, or on the floor. When I called I was informed the trash had already been taken to Long Bay resort to be desposed of. So I was out $30 and kept a swimsuit I didn't really want. The customer service lady didn't seem too concerned. She said the maids throw away empty bags when they find one. So the next day our room was skipped by maid service, intentionally? maybe. So no biggie we just needed towels to shower. Well 15-20 minutes and 3 phone calls later the towels show up after I had been standing in the shower just waiting on towels so I could get out. Oh yeah and the water pressure was horrible! There was none. So would I stay there again, probably...maybe. The kiddie water park for my 13 month old was great! Location was great! Overall we were pretty pleased.

The hotel was very nice and the room was clean. Our room was oceanfront on the 8th floor and I especially liked that the ... balcony area was very safe for my daughter. There was a concrete wall versus the normal bars. The onsite restaurant was reasonably priced and convienent for breakfast, but would have been nice if they served supper. There was a lounge, but it wasn't appropriate for children. There was lots of parking that spanned several blocks up from the hotel entrance, but it was still a bit of a nightmare finding a spot and then walking back to the hotel.

First off the room was completly dirty, and the towels had junk all over them. We had to clean the bathtub before giving my ... son a bath. They would not refund us our money (which was pricey). the location is great, but the rooms are old, smelly, and the carpet was filthy. and it took them forever to clean them. I highly would not reccomend this place at all.

We needed a suite with two bedrooms because we had 2 teenagers with us, but we didn't realize we would be in a luxury ... penthouse suite! It was absolutely fantastic! It was a beautiful place at an unbelievable price. I compared it to the price I could get by booking through the hotel directly and am now sold. We will book all future vacations through Orbitz!!

great location, great pool... however, the rooms were a bit small (esp the bathroom) and there were never enough chairs ... poolside. The staff was not particularly friendly or helpful. But for the $ and the location, it was a very good deal. The location is a bit off the beaten path if you are interested in wild nightlife, etc... but if you are looking for the beach and a short drive to food and shopping... this is a great bargain.

Ocean Reef had a great children's pool. I have a one year old and that was one of the selling points. Also...if you are ... traveling with a little one, the have Pack & Plays available at no charge. (Bring your own sheets for it though...kind of yucky from other babies.) I was great not to have to pack ours though.

While at the Ocean Reeef we spent our time at the beach. The location was amazing. The beach front unparalleled. The pool ... was okay for older kids, right down amazing for younger kids. Its an old hotel that has been cheaply made over. For the price I expected much better accomodations.

The reviews that we read about the Ocean Reef Resort before booking our vacation were spot on. The rooms were extremely ... clean, and the location on the North side of Myrtle Beach was very quiet. We enjoyed walking next door to a very quaint Starbucks to get our coffee each morning! The pools were very kid friendly, and were kept very clean. We felt that the Ocean Reef was a value for what we experienced. We will stay there again on our next visit to Myrtle Beach!

We were early to check in but we had traveled 750 miles and spent the night in a crapy hotel on the way. We were ready to ... get unpacked and get to the beach. This was me and my sons first trip to the ocean. We had to wait an hour and a half for our room. Check in time is 3 p.m. and our room was ready at 3 p.m. on the nose. I felt they could've jumped ahead to our room and got it ready since we were waiting but since they didn't guarantee it would be ready early I didn't push it. Other than that our experience was wonderful. The staff was the most courteous I have ever seen. We've stayed in Las Vegas twice and been to several other casino/hotels and never have we been treated so well. We would definately return to Ocean Reef.

If you have the full kitchen, stock up at the local Krogers grocery store. Even if you go out for dinner most nights, it was great to have breakfast, lunch, snacks, drinks, etc. all on the cheap in the room.

There is a indoor/outdoor pool for family fun. There is a recreational area were you can enjoy playing air hockey, checkers and chess. You can also walk a short distance to the beach area.
