This place is so peaceful and restful. The rooms were very nice. It had all the comforts of home. The View of the ocean was ... great. We really loved the idea of the washer and dryer in the suite. The bed rooms where very big. Over all I can't think of a thing I did not like about this place, we will be staying here again.

Was impressed with the beautiful ocean view. Liked the lizards, crabs, and cats roaming around. The location is a good jump ... off point to go to the Everglades or Key West. Weekend guests were too noisy.

Great Place!!
One happy traveler! Oct 6, 2009
We really loved our stay here! There are stores in a short driving distance & a full kitchen that was pretty well stocked ... with neccessary items. There were 2 bedrooms & 2 baths in the 2 room suite which we were excited about! The beach area is small and pretty shallow & full of coral but so is most of Key Largo. It was a beautiful view & a great pool after leaving the "beach." Great place for boats to dock & it was fun renting the double kayaks that they had avaible on site! The bathrooms had just been renovated and were quite nice. Overall a great place, very quiet & relaxing, just like we wanted!

SUITES; not a resort. Nice place to stay
Kathy Aug 31, 2009
First off, this place is NOT a resort, it's simply suites that are privately owned yet rented out as hotel rooms. The staff ... were very helpful and very friendly and the room we were in was very clean. It was apartment-like (kitchen with all appliances, washer/dryer, separate bedroom and living room, small balcony). Our room happened to be very clean and in good condition, but I'm not sure if that varies depending on the owner and how they maintain their rooms. You don't get maid-service if you stay under seven days, but you can request it. The food there is not good at all. There is no real kitchen, so you will need to either stock up your own kitchen or buy food in the nearby restaurants. The swimming pool was good and clean. They have two tennis courts and you can borrow rackets/balls for free (though the rackets are in so so condition). There are also a lot of feral cats roaming around (we counted eight just outside our building). I love cats so it wasn't a problem and they actually don't bother anyone, they're just there to catch mice. There are five buildings all together. The "hotel" has a beach but it is NOT REALLY A BEACH! It's man made and small and not that appealing to swim in. They have free parking for cars. I really want to give this place four stars because I would come here again, and I did enjoy my stay, but people usually look for a little more in a place that advertises itself as a resort. Also, they don't offer any excursions from the hotel, ie shuttle service or tours etc. It is close to US 1, but off the beaten path so there's no noise from traffic. Like I said, great place to stay if what you're looking for is a suite and not a resort experience.

Trip to the Keys
Liz Aug 7, 2009
Our trip was short but sweet. Our group ages ranged from 11 to 67 and everyone was very pleased with the resort. The beach ... and pool were great as was the marina and boardwalk. The suites were large and extremely comfortable. The staff was accommodating and allowed us to extend our checkout so that we could make easier travel plans. I will recommend them and use them again in the future.

Great condo
Chellie13 Jul 22, 2009
The condo was nice, we had a view of the water even though it was an "island view" room. Large rooms, furniture a little ... worn and floors could have been cleaned better, seemed a little dusty in the corners but not bad. Could have used more towels, no housekeeping service but we knew that going in from other reviews. Kitchen was well stocked w/ dishes and cooking utensils, coffemaker, blender. TV's in master and LR. Small (1 person) patio. Grounds well kept and very pretty. Beach was small, but still nice. Just had to hit the grocery store for supplies, we brought about everything else including xtra towels. Was nice to have W/D in unit to dry towels and bathing suits quickly. All in all I'd certainly stay there again, can't beat the convenient location to Key Largo and the use of a full kitchen. We saved quite a bit of money being able to cook 2 meals daily for our family which included 2 teens.

The staff was helpful and polite throughout our visit. They were a real asset when my daughter had a medical problem and I ... needed to get some advice on local medical services. The suite was spotless with large rooms and had all the amenities of home. Ocean Pointe is conveniently located near my favorite dive centers. The view off of the balcony every morning was inspiring!

Key Largo, Islamarada Hotel
Hornedfrog1982 Jun 1, 2009
What a wonderful Hotel. It is really not a Hotel but a condo. Great Location, Huge Rooms, beautiful views, Great Pool, and ... nice little private beach which in the Keys beaches are hard to come by. It does not have any type of grand ballroom or grand entrance but does have a nice little bar and cafe. If you are a fisherman and have your own boat this is the place to come.
