The carpet in the hallway was in bad shape, buckled and dirty and smelled like dirty feet. The carpet in the room was very ... dirty. The elevators were extremely slow and inefficient, bypassing floors. It took 15 minutes for the elevator to finally stop on my floor when in a hurry to check out. The reception desk was very slow in checking people out. We asked about where to get a taxi three separate times and no one was willing to help us get one. Finally, a car was ordered for us and it did arrive very fast. Our toilet didn't flush. It is definitely not a 4 star hotel. The breakfast was not very good. The buffet was not kept stocked up and was messy with food spilled around the serving area. We had to ask for coffee and then were only given one partial cup serving. Also, the hotel is way out in Hammersmith and is not close at all to any of the attractions in central London. It is close to the tube station where you can get to Picadilly Circus in about 20 minutes. The tube is hot and crowded and there was a weird guy in our train car who was kind of scary, talking to himself. He made people uncomfortable. Not much to do in Hammersmith.

My overall experience at this hotel was good. The location was great for all transportation to all of the london sites one ... would want to visit. we toured around on numerous bus trips, which allowed familiarity of the area and the convenient location of the hotel made it more pleasing. I would have appreciated more input from the hotel reception about the sites and offering, that was lacking. But I would stay at this hotel again in future travels.
