The AAA approved 3 Diamond National 9 Discovery Inn, is conveniently located less then 15 minutes to Temple Square and the Delta Center. The National 9 Discovery Inn is within 45 minutes to 8 ski resorts, including Snowbird, Solitude, Alta, and Brighton. The Hotel is really run down. The toilet was stained and the water in the sink sprayed. Was unable to get a internet ... connection and no answer from their support. The pillows were worn out, about a inch thick. Would not recommend this place to anybody.

Hard to believe that this motel/hotel is rated as 3 star and is approved by AAA. The place was old, dirty. The handrails ... were dirty as we took the stairs to th second floor. Bedroom furniture was old, filthy and broken. The bathroom sink in one of the rooms was cracked and filthy and didn't drain well. In all instances that we have booked on the internet, this is the 1st time we were extremly disappoined. When we arrived, the clerk stated the rooms were upstairs and that was all that was available. My brother were braces and had a hard time climbing the stairs. The clerk stated she was unable to help us with any refund since we booked on the internet. Next time, we have to book rooms, I will be very thorough in details and quality of rooms, even if we have to pay more!

The hotel is in walking distance to the Salt Lake City TRAX system. You can buy an all day pass for $5 to travel anywhere within this city train system.

It was our best hotel during the long trip. The room was very quiet and very clean. It also had everything we needed: a small ... refrigerator, a microwave, comfortable beds, parking at the window of our room. The lobby in the hotel is nice and the staff was very friendly. Complementary breakfast was OK especially for the price we paid for the hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

Condition of the hot tub was a health hazard Doors should of been locked and closed signage should have been posted. After ... entering the hot tub and using was informed by management staff human waste was present in the water. A brust pipe prevented me from taking a hot shower. I only have very unpleasant memories of this motel. I was a guest 1/3-1/11/09. Beware!!!

Stayed here while snowboarding at Snowbird, Solitude and Brighton. Location was great, short drive to all the resorts or to ... take the bus to them if you needed to. The breakfast that was included was decent...waffels, cereal, oatmeal, toast, bagels, english muffins. Just watch out, around 7:30am bums come in and grab a bunch of food, then leave. This is your typical low budget hotel, but the location helps it out a lot! Room was clean. RIght on the main road, so plenty of places to eat. Oh they did have a flat screen tv, but no ESPN....so sad. I would only recommend this place for friends looking for a cheap place to stay while skiing or riding in the mountains.

I wasn't expecting anything special. I just wanted an economy hotel for my weekend trip. The shower took forever to drain, ... the room was very worn, stains, old furniture, etc. I don't mind a little age but I think the room was let go a bit past that. The hotel did provide a place for me to stay with a roof over my head, but I can't say I'll be staying there again.

Hotel staffs are friendly and it is very obvious that the management is trying to improve the facility and the quality of the ... staffs. The overall experience may have been affected by the long term residents that occupy the property and the lack of upgrade of the facility from the property owner. However, the property is safe and the long term residents and the staffs are very friendly and kind to guests. Breakfast is included but not much choice and is located at a corner of the lobby. Penty of food but certain hours when hotel staffs are also eating their breakfast, the place became too crowded and food ran out very fast. The hotel staffs (other staffs) would refill the empty items but just does not seem right when the staffs are taking over the place. I thought guest should have the priority. Just a thought for the management.
