There were no money saving offers what-so-ever. Do not go to Junkanoo Beach across the street from the hotel. It was no better than a beach in New York City. I would suggest you try one of the hotel beaches near by.

The only plus in about this hotel is the bus stop (aka Jitney) is right down the street which will save you tons of money on taxi's. The location is good. However, there was alot of construction going on every evening that we were there. They are re-paving the road in front of the hotel and all you can hear is banging and jackhammers in the evening.
--Devster, North Port, Florida Jul 4, 2009
There were a few places to eat within a short distance, but the local advisory was incorrect price-wise.the average meal for two was 25-35/person and up. The Poopdeck was highly reccommended...the food was good but its expensive...100 for 2 people

Nassau Hotel - Bahamas
Bahama-mama Jul 8, 2009
The staff were friendly and helpful but the excursion representatives were pushy and pesky. While I realize this is how they ... make their living, they were very aggravating. The beach across the street was horrible. I would not suggest the beach. Nassau can definitely do better.

Nassau Palm Hotel

We had to change rooms three times before they finally put us in a room that was sub par. This hotel needs a complete ... renovation. It was worth no more than $50.00 a night. I should have stayed elsewhere. It was discusting. The bed was so springy that I now have back pains and will have to get a chiropractor to give me an adjustment.

Never again
Ulli Jun 2, 2009
Well what a experience. I stayed in the Palm Hotel with my son for one night, never again. The carpet was so nasty, I could ... not take my shoes off. Next is the rat poison in the closet, that gave me the rest. Could not sleep all night long and we paid a lot of money for the room. I would not recommend this Hotel, not even to a homeless.

The room was clean and had a nice view. The bathroom was in sad shape the toilet paper had fallen out of ... the wall and you could tell it was repaired numerous times . The toilet had broken parts in the back but they did fix it 2 days later . I didnt complain because i didnt want any extra visits to my room.the room had a great view and the hotel was in a great location close to the cruise port and fish fry restuarants. The breakfast was better then i expected

Don't want to return
My poor crying wife May 29, 2009
The room needed to be painted for the first time in 10 yrs, hadn't been remodeled in 20; First room we got was dirty ; toilet ... not attached to the floor; several lights didn't work, sliding door needed new hardware to open, was right across the street from beach, but hard to get there with intense traffic, and once you got there broken glass all around so we didn't stay; didn't feel safe walking in downtown area after 6:00pm. Always had people approching trying to sell vacation club memberships.... breakfast (continental) and dinner was decent $. The hotel was not what it was made out to be on web page; we moved to Paradise Island after second night, much pricier, but well worth it. My wife was almost in tears the first night. What an anniversary!!

KT Apr 22, 2009
This is a good hotel if you aren't looking to spend a lot of time there. It's a good distance from the main downtown area ... and you can walk there - its about a 7 minute walk from the hotel. Just be careful in the traffic! There isn't a restaurant, just a bar that I don't think serves any food, so you will have to leave to get anything to eat. It's also within walking distance of the Fish Fry which is awesome. If you plan on hanging out in your hotel room the whole time, I wouldn't suggest this one. If you are going to explore the island and just use the hotel as a home-base, this is perfect.

The hotel has staff who work for the various activities around the island who greet you when you walk into the hotel. They can be a little aggressive but were nice. They can offer you activities you may be interested in such as snorkling, scuba driving, party buses, dinner cruises and more. They will make the reservations for you and many of the activities have buses that will pick you up from the hotel.
