A little difficult to find at first. But we stayed at La Cabana and The Renaisance before. We will continue to return to MVC. ... Just a very simple hotel with a great breakfast every morn. As convienent to beach as all the other hotels. The staff is small but seem to go out of way to accommidate. This place is nestled close to the beach and has a nice restaurant too. You just can't beat the value of this hidden Oasis!

Eagle Beach is directly across the street and we had a great view of the beach from the second floor room. We spent at least ... a couple of hours at the beach everyday and had fantastic sunsets. Eagle Beach is the largest and one of the most picturesque beaches on the island. There are water sports and some boat traffic so a great beach to just relax on. A car is really helpful for exploring the island and shopping. There is a all inclusive resort, La Cabana, that is a short walk away that has a mini-mart, shopping and a Cinnabon. There are also a couple of restaurants and a casino within a short walk. The public bus stops right out front of the hotel so traveling to downtown Oranjestad or to the high-rise resorts is easy. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. The most common phrase heard on the island is "No problem". We would have liked coffee maker in the room for the first cup of coffee before heading down to breakfast. The hotel is older but clean and fairly well maintained. In all, a location, a beach and beautiful Aruba for a price thats hard to beat.

We were hesitant about booking since the cost was so low, considering most Aruba hotels are not.We were plesantly surprised. ... MVC is a small lodging, great staff, excellent Tulip restaurant and clean, clean, clean.Every day the grounds are groomed to perfection. The included breakfast is an added bargain. If you need a little R&R,beautiful beach, and some great sunsets on a budget this is the spot.If you are looking for a party atomosphere and lots of activity one of the palm beach locations would be more your style. One drawback was then new condo going up around the MVC.Noise from the construction did become annoying once in a while, as work was going on 7 days a week and they did start early in the day.I just hope they don`t destroy this little diamond in the rough.

Renting a car is a smart idea since Taxis are costly and we had the freedom to come and go when we needed to. It ended up being less than what we would have paid taking buses and cabs.Parking is right behind the hotel

Locker Room Hotel Room
Nasty Hotel Sep 21, 2009
I went to Aruba to explore and snorkel. The hotel was in the middle of nowhere. The hotel room was clean. The disadvantage ... is that you can hear everything your neighbor next door is saying. There is no privacy inside the rooms. The man staying next door to me confronted me about the conversation I had inside my hotel room! He didn't like what we were discussing! The walls must be made from paper! The pool is the size of a jacuzzi. The hotel room looked like the inside of a locker room. The hotel staff at the kitchen were rude. The restaurant inside the hotel offered extremely high priced meals.

Clean, comfortable, stellar location
Techmama Sep 4, 2009
Great value for the price. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. MVC Eagle Beach is a ... little retro, but the "lowrise" area is less overbuilt and touristy than where the "highrise" fancy hotels are. Breakfast was simple but filling: bread, butter and jam for toast (including thick, fresh raisin bread), hard boiled eggs, cut fresh fruit, orange juice, coffee and hot tea, salami, cheese and ham, and if you got up early enough, fresh pumpkin bread. We could usually hear the music from Tulip, the on-site restaurant, but it was rarely bothersome. There is a tennis court, and outdoor shower and changing rooms so you can rinse off the sand from the beach, and a small swimming pool suitable for children. Adults were welcome to cool off in it. Iguanas and birds roam the grounds, and each room has a table and wicker chairs outside for you to sit in the breeze. The bus stop into the center of Orangestad or to the highrise hotel area is right on the street outside, buses run frequently till midnight. We took the bus to the grocery store and stocked our room refrigerator with some food for healthy snacks. The food at Tulip was good, reasonably priced for Aruba, and varied enough, though vegans might not find enough to eat there. There are several other restaurants in walking distance, as well as a convenience store in a neighboring hotel. We'd go back to the MVC, the free wireless internet access was the icing on the cake.

It was a great experience. The rooms are very clean. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The food at the restaurant was ... spectacular. The only problem we had was finding the hotel. The name of the hotel is MVC Eagle Beach but the sign actually reads "Tulip". But when you find it you will like the location etc. It is not a fancy hotel but it is nice enough.

Excellent place to stay. Wonderful food and service. If you want a big fancy hotel with lots of glitz and disinterested ... staff, this is not the place for you. This is a smaller hotel so you get to know both the staff and the other guests. This really made the stay that much more enjoyable for me and my family. Plus you only need to walk 100' to reach the best beach in Aruba. When we go back, we will specifically request this resort. Truely, I am not interested in staying anywhere else. P.S. Try the onion soup. It is the best I have ever had.

Vacationing Family Apr 23, 2009
We planned a late check in and got the key in the restaurant for our room. We had a King sized bed in one room and two ... singles in the attached room. With a shared large bathroom. It was very clean. There were a couple things in the room that we reported wrong but they were mainly cosmetic items that did not bother us, which we did not want to be charged for. We were initially confused about the air conditioner in the kids room and later found out that it was controlled by the remote in our room so both air conditioners worked great. The room was kept very clean. The pool was small but perfect for our small children, and my husband and I did not go to Aruba for a pool we went for the beach. We were very pleased with Eagle Beach. We liked that it was less crowded than Palm Beach and it was perfect for jumping waves and building sandcastles. We did have to go to other beaches for better snorkeling but it was a short walk to the next resort were you could rent jeeps or schedule tours. The continental breakfast at the hotel was nice and best if it was caught early when you had the most cereal choices and everything was fresh. It was nice to just wake up and eat instead of trying to figure out where your first meal of the day was coming from. We also had a mini-fridge in our room that we stocked with sandwich fixings. I would recommend taking the Arubabus to a supermarket and stocking up when you arrive. I mentioned that beach towels were hard to get; we took our own along but we learned at the end of our trip to find the cleaning staff after breakfast and get some beach towels. There are less than 20 rooms so it was easy to find them. The staff was also kind enough to let us use a temporary room after checkout on our last day so we could walk down the beach one more time before the bus came to take us to the airport.

Laura Dec 8, 2008
We enjoyed our stay at MVC. It was the prettiest beach that we saw in Aruba. There were several thatched umbrellas on our ... section of the beach that we enjoyed. Lounge chairs were available for free check out. The breakfast at the Tulip Restaurant was bountiful. It was great having a this pretty, convenient place to have meals. We loved the birds that frequented the open air restaurant. The courtyard between the hotel and the beach provided a nice view and a cozy feel. Our family agreed that we would choose MVC if we have another chance to visit Aruba.

The MVC Eagle Beach Hotel was a great surprise. The cost was the perfect amoung I wanted to spend, but I was concerned that ... the accommodations would be questionable. I was delighted to find that this hotel provided great service, had a location that could not be beat for spending time relaxing at the best beach, provided the best value for my money, and was clean and very well-maintained. The staff was friendly and the restaurant attached to the hotel was a real surprise. The room was spotless and larger than I expected. A separate bathroom was clean and well-stocked with fresh towels daily. Inexpensive taxi service was easy to flag down and the city center was a very short five-minute trip. I have stayed in every level of hotel, and the MVC Eagle Beach stands out as one of the best values for your travel accommodation budget when visiting Aruba.
