We paid for a quad and was given a double bed and a single. Was then treated rudely by the manager and was told to deal with ... Orbitz for our money back.

Mowbray Court Hotel has a great location, a very short walk to Earl's Court tube stop, with lots of eating options on Earls ... Court Road. It's not a long walk to High Street Kensington and Kensington Gardens (where I went for my morning run). For a very inexpensive London hotel, it was quite nice, with a clean and reasonably spacious room (not as tiny as some London hotel rooms). The bathroom was a bit too compact for my tastes (and the sink really quite tiny) but for the price, it was more than I expected. The Mowbray Court staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was OK, but nothing great -- I only bothered with it 2 out of 6 days.

If you're coming from Heathrow, take the Picadilly line directly to Earl's Court.
