Just a place to sleep and clean up

I goofed and booked a room with one queen bed when I wanted 2. That was my mistake. Room is good enough to sleep and get ... ready in the morning to get your day started. However, you get only bars of soap... no shampoo, no microwave, no iron, no in room coffee maker.

The bed was comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, the area relatively quiet. No phone book in the room and lack of ... drawers to store socks, tee shirts and shorts made for a slightly difficult stay. I also believe I was billed twice for the room. Once by Orbitz and by the motel.

Cold and Dirty
Cindy Dec 26, 2008
The Motel 6 Sierra Vista was very disappointing. The heater did not work. There was a cold front that went through Sierra ... Vista that night that included snow. When checking out, I notified the front desk that the heater did not work in the room. The front desk person's response was that this was a common problem in a number of their rooms and that she could not do anything because she is not the manager. Unfortunately, I was given a room that smelled like an ashtray.

So I knew this hotel was cheep and probably wouldnt be super great. OMG!!! I tried to check in at 1 pm, my room wasnt ... ready. I was sent away to come back after 2pm. I came back after 3pm to give them some extra time and the room still wasn't ready!!! When I finally got the key my room wasn't even clean!!! the desk was gross, the room wasnt vaccumed and there were food crums on the counter. This unclean room left me strep throat by the end of my stay!!! In my short weekend stay, I was electricuted by plugging in my hair dryer, the fire alarm went off in my room. No one came, I had to hunt down someone to help me, people with small children were running out of there rooms and no staff memember was concerned. And lastly, I left a college text book there and now the hotel cannot find it to give it back. It dosent suprise me they cannot find it, if they actually cleaned a room it probably just under the bed. Even as a poor college student I will NEVER stay in this hotel again. Next time I visit Sierre Vista it will NOT be in this hotel. I will pay more, not only for my saftey but also for my health!!!

Perfect for visiting Fort Huachuca
Michele Jul 9, 2007
Motel is your typical motel 6, no dine in or resturant, or gym, but there is a gym. Very affordable, within walking distance ... of delicious local dining and large chain resturants. Only about an hour out of Tuscon airport. Motel Staff is VERY accomodating and friendly, was on a first name basis by the time I left, no problems at all with check, room was always clean and very comfortable. Area is quiet; Only advisory is that some service men and women stay their passes there over the weekend and it therefore can get a bit rowdy on these days. Otherwise very pleasant, accesable, with a lovely mountain view. Military Shuttle Transportation is very familiar wth the motel and easily reached for rides to and from the airport and rides within Sierra Vista.

Make sure to stop into Baker's Flor next to the Shell Station if you have a sweet tooth, the danish crossiant doughnuts are to die for! and the Deli next to it for lunch can't be missed. If you want a quick new outfit for a night out, try The Clothing Exchange across the street for sweet deals on gently used clothes.

Good enough for the money paid
Robert Jun 11, 2007
The rooms are smaller than average, and there is only a shower. The maid did a somewhat poor job on cleaning the toilet, and ... the linen on the bed was slightly frayed. That all being said, it is one of the less expensive hotels in Sierra Vista, and it was decent enough for the price.

Quiet and clean, minimal furnishings but more than adequate; for an overnight stay you need a clean room with a bathroom, a ... bed, a TV and some peace and quiet, and that's exactly what I got. No frills, but none were needed. I'll use it again the next time I go back to town.
