Pool location = no sun = NO pool time
J man Nov 3, 2009
The hotel is nice, the casino is nice, none of that weird 'flavored' oxygenated air stuff. Our room had a view of the very ... cool pool, but due to its location, there was NO sun on it at all. We picked this hotel specifically because of the pool, and was very disappointed that a multi million $$$ place couldnt have thought through the location of there amazing pool. We couldnt go to the pool AT ALL, the one night (sunday) we really wanted to soak our feet in the hot tub, the pool area closed at 4pm... while the sun was still up. weird. i will not stay here again. ps the city center that they are placing right next door to the monte carlo, is loud. under 24 hour construction, not super super loud, but annoying in the morning.

Not What I Expected
Fighting For What You Ordered. Nov 3, 2009
I arrived and they charged me $9.95 a day tax that they claimed [...] did not charge. Then they told me that they only had ... smoking rooms unless I wanted to pay extra to get a non-smoking room. I then asked for the supervisor, and complained that I had paid for my room a month in advance and that it was not right that I would get something that like this. The supervisor then changed my room for a non-smoking room. After that things went better. They have a great pool and a food court. I only had one small book of coupons to split between my family. Since I booked two rooms for three days one would think I would get more coupons and better service. Everything there is expensive. Bottom line: Try another hotel.

Average hotel for a luxurious price
Jennifer Oct 29, 2009
Our trip to Las Vegas was fun but we found the hotel very average. There was nothing special about it. Not only was the room ... priced higher than many other hotels on the stip, but so were food and drinks. We found prices to be cheaper at other hotels just as well known for luxury and entertainment. We also found the lazy river dirty and trash floated in it. It was not cleaned enough. The workout facility was good with plenty of equipment and machines. It was great that they provided water and juices as well. However all of our group had to pay for the gym/spa option whether we used it or not. Spa amenities were extra too. There was also an additional daily fee of $9.50 per day which included gym, newspaper and 2 waters. Anyone could get the newspaper out of the hallway though and if you did not drink your waters for the day, they did not replenish them.

Doc Oct 26, 2009
The Monte Carlo is nicely located along the strip. The casino air quality was great even with smokers near by. When a ... missing sheet was noticed at bedtime we called housekeeping. Their management was snotty and unresponsive. The housekeeping staff were kind and professional and hotel management was appropriately responsive and apologetic. The valet staff were the best ever-considerate, helpful and quickly responsive.

ok for tourist; prefer downtown area
F.T. Oct 24, 2009
met friends, socialized,& gambled. Hotel offered no in-room coffee, room sound proofing was lacking and area was noisy at ... night and early mornings. If you were a slot player you could not get a compted drink at the bar when there was no cocktail waitress around and the casino raised the limits on all the table games at night. The downtown area offered more atmosphere, better rates and great dining and is where I'll stay next trip.

Nice hotel minus the bells and whistles
Miss J Oct 21, 2009
It was a nice hotel for the price. The rooms were really clean and there was plenty of food options and shopping. The staff ... was also very friendly. My only problem was that the rooms were missing coffee makers, microwaves and refrigerators. The pool also only gets sunlight in one corner, otherwise it is shaded by tall buildings pretty much the entire day. I also thought that 20 bucks for 4 tiny bottled waters was a little ridiculous.
