It was good for what I needed. I had a great deal of difficulty finding this particular one. Mapquest was not a great help ... this time! Once I found it, it was great. I especially liked the price and location that I needed it for.

Rooms are small but sufficient for a single traveler. Interior and exterior was neat and clean. Had a continental ... breakfast. Located next to a Cracker Barrel and within walking distance of other food and retail locations in the East Towne section of Madison. 20 minutes to the airport. No fitness center.

we didnt spend much time there but sleeping, getting ready the next morning, and using the internet, but the location was ... rite off the highway, was surrounded by places to eat & shop & was easy to get to.

A Complete Nightmare

We checked into the Microtel Hotel around 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14th. The TV was a 19 at best and it was on top of ... the closet. We could not stay! Now it is after 7:00 p.m. on a Friday night in Madison, WI on a University game weekend! We could not get another room. This was a disaster!!!!

This Microtel Motel would not be what I would choose again, unless all other places are full. The staff was friendly. When ... getting in or out of bed one had to be careful to not cut or scrape a foot or leg on the exposed metal. The lighting was so bright and crummy, we chose to only light the room with the TV. Nice try Microtel- but not to my standards.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It's next to a mall with many options for dining. The hotel is clean, although ... some of the furniture in the room wasn't in the greatest condition. I think we may stay somewhere down the road as we liked the area, but it was more expensive than other motels down the road by a significant amount. I also tried to change my room stay from 1 to 2 nights, but there ended up being a mix-up. The mix-up wasn't obvious until we had come back from an excursion and were in the midst of showering. It was fixed, but was still aggravating.

This was our first Microtel stay anywhere. Sure enough, no frills, but clean and efficient. The motel was in the heart of ... the east Madison shopping complex, therefore to many restaurants and pretty handy to the airport as well. The only thing we didn't care for was the traffic noise from a busy street nearby. Better soundproofing is a frill we would have welcomed.

the hotel was located right in the center of shopping. there were many restaurants within walking distance and the mall was ... nearby. this hotel was also near major highways and very near the airport. this hotel was very clean and neat and I was very pleased with the price. The room itself was large and clean. the air conditioner worked great and the widows seemed to keep noise to a very low decibel level even though the highway is nearby. the bathroom appears to stock up on lots of different towels. the slight drawback is the continental breakfast (too little and too few choices) and the television is set up too high above the normal eye level (sits on top of the closet/dresser). for the price, i highly recommend this hotel.
