The staff was great. I made an error and had booked a smoking room. They moved us into a suite, so we could have a ... non-smoking room. However, the walls are thin. We could hear everything being said in the room next door and all the noise in the hall.

Overall, it's a good deal for the price. Rooms are a bit small and the lighting is sterile, reminiscent of a hospital ... room. The treadmill was out of order but no sign posted. I brought it to the attention of staff and suggested a sign. Went back the next day; no sign and still out of order. Went to tell the girl at the front desk [different staff person] and she didn't even know it wasn't functional. Friendly staff but limited.

The Microtel was comfortable & nicely decorated. The refrigerator was nice to have but the granite bar & serving area were ... superflous. Disappointed in the breakfast - could have had more protein (only milk & peanut butter), maybe yogurt or hard boiled eggs. There was a coffee pot in our room but they didn't have coffee and told us to go down to the breakfast bar for coffee. We were next to an adjoining room which was noisey when the hotel was full. The bed was comfortable and it seemed the a/c would go off during the night & not go back on until early am - making it warm during sleeping hours. We liked the convenience to Finger Lakes, expressway,and museums.
