THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL EVER!!!I arrived in town for a weekend (around the 2nd week in Oct.) with friends and found a small, ... cramped, and dirty room. After a long drive I decided to get some ice for our drinks. Inside the "clean" ice container I found an opened box of CONDOMS. DISGUSTING!! This let me know the room hadn't been cleaned properly. The lady at the front desk apologized and gave us a new container. Of course we decided not to use it. By the way the night stands were filthy and as a safety measure I had to spray Lysol over every surface in the room.We thought the next day couldn't be worse...WRONG.After the first night we wake up to take hot showers, NOTTTT!!! The water was cold and the shower head was broken. There was only one sprayon the shower head an it was strong. A COLD PAINFUL SHOWER is what we got at Microtel. We missed room service which means we didnt get any new towels. I went to the front desk to ask for towels and let them know about the cold water. Staff was no help at all. I was told I had to bring my dirty towels to the frontdesk before I could get new towels. So I had to go upstairs to get the towels and go back to the front desk and bag my own dirty towels before I could get new ones...AND then I had to sign a form with my name and room number. CRazy Right...I've never been to a hotel or inn that required guests to check out towels. According to [...] the front desk its because the cheap owner thinks the guest are stealing towels. She thought this practice was CRAZY too.LOCATION,LOCATION. Families will enjoy being conveniently located next to the Pink Pony gentleman's club. Great place for families with small kids. NOT!!! This hotel was horrible.Word of advice....DON'T LET THE (BUCKHEAD) FOOL YOU. This hotel is in the hood and the service and rooms SUCK SOOOOO BAD. I hated this hotel. The hotel is located in a nice part of Atlanta, however there are three clubs surrounding the hotel. There was a tremendous ... amount of "business" in the hotel from these clubs. The hallway carpet was beyond filthy and the rooms have mirrors on the walls where the headboard is located and a mirror on the adjacent wall. The rooms are extremely small.

My friends and I had to go downstairs to check out an iron and bring it back downstairs. Huge inconvience. Also if we needed ... towels we had to sign off how many towels we needed, and go downstairs to get the towels. And it's a party club right next door to the hotel and the ppl who are attending the club park in the hotels parking lot. So there's no parking spots left for the guest to park

This hotel is not certainly in the Buckhead area as stated in your Internet description. Thus the information provided in the ... internet was misleading and not accurate. This hotel is far from the train station, high concerns with safety around the hotel area, very rude bus driver that did not provide answers to a single question about where to get off to reach the hotel. We stayed at this place only one night upon arrival and in the morning left to stay in a suitable hotel in the downtown area. We are extremely unhappy and disappointed with the experience we had and all the extra expenses due to your misleading information. Plus our safety was a concern. We relied in your information to make our reservation, but this was not at all a pleasant experience. This hotel is not certainly a 3 star facility or the area very safe for families.

"GREAT HOTEL"
Sport Ryders of Orlando Aug 10, 2009
When we come back to Atlanta, this will be my first choice. Rooms are very clean, and I don't know why they are so cheap. I ... have stayed in a 5 star hotel in Orlando, Florida and that was the only other time the beds were that soft. We were able to eat in the moringing well past breakfast cut off time. Check out was at 12:00 and they still gave us a few extra minutes. Staff is very friendly, and rooms are way too clan for the price. NEGATIVE: There is a club and a strip club across the street, so it may not be the best spot for kids, even though you would of never known it, if it was not for the signs. This is a very nice hotel, please don't let the price change your mind...I PULLED THE SHEETS BACK TO SEE HOW THEY MADE THE BEDS THAT SOFT! BED WAS BETTER THAN MINE AT HOME.

midnight at Nightmare Inn and Suites ATL
Customer Bill of Rights Needed Aug 3, 2009
This was the worst hotel stay I have had in my life! The location was questionable at best because the hotel is surrounded by ... vacant buildings or seedy girly clubs. When I walked in the room I noticed a spider web hanging from the sprinkler. Later at bedtime when my daughter tried to take a shower there were bugs in the bath tub. Then she noticed a stain on the wall behind the bed, it looked like dried blood to us. The staff said it was stain from remodeling but it did not have any drips...it was spattered on the wall. My room had mold growing at the top of a window. I was so stunned that I took pictures to prove that I was not making this up! The sad part was when I told the night manager, he said he could not come to look at the room because there was no other staff in the 98 room hotel and he could not leave the front desk. This was freighting to me because it raised a whole new saftey issue...I remember wondering what they did in an emergency ..anything could happen. He just shrugged then told me that because the room was already paid for the only thing he could offer was another room. So I was faced with packing up, and wandering around Atlanta at midnight for another hotel or try another room. I felt vulnerable and cheated. Question, since we pay for rooms up front, why doesn't Orbitz offer the customer a bill of rights? Who is looking out for us?

Thanks to Orbitz the price was just right, and the hotel was within 10 minutes of all the places we wanted to go (Zoo, ... Aquarium, Fernbank Museum, etc.) The beds were comfortable. There was a musty odor, but it wasn't too bad. Although there is a "gentleman's club" across the street, it is not loud and there was no problem even though our window looked out that way.

If You Like Clean
Red Sox Won Two Out Of Three! Jun 30, 2009
This is probably not your best bet if you are looking for a clean, affordable place to stay while in Atlanta. The rooms were ... large, but the general cleanliness was rather lacking - especially the carpeting which was filthy, and worn through in places. Not surprisingly, they fail to mention that a large adult entertainment club is directly across the street from the hotel - A wrong turn took us through a parking lot where 5 or 6 prostitutes were waiting at the "Taxi Stand" provided by the strip club.

Don't bother with the Underground in downtown Atlanta. Not only were we scammed at the parking lot out of $20.00 at night but there were alot of homeless people there even during the day and they were very aggressive in asking for money. It wasn't very clean and there are lots of other places in Atlanta that are more fun. Would definitely recommend dinner or lunch at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen! Great food!
