comfortable bargain

We stayed only one night after flying to Tel Aviv from California. Though the outside is modern, inside it is obviously an ... older hotel and a little worn. But the rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet, with good beds. The breakfast room -- Israeli breakfasts are legendary -- was bright and cheerful, and the food was good and plentiful. It is close to the beach. Compared to another hotel in Tel Aviv we tried later, this was a cozy bargain.

The Metropolitan really is in a great location and gives great value for the money - breakfast provide a lot of choices and ... fresh food. The desk staff was very nice and we would certainly stay there again if we visit Israel!

The Metropolitan Hotel in Tel Aviv is a great place to stay. It is close to a lovely sandy beach and is in the middle of the ... Promenade beside the Mediterrenean Sea. There are lots of restaurants in the area and great shopping is a short walk away. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful with directions. The Israeli buffet breakfast was fresh with lots of choices. While I was alone, the room had plenty of space for two. The beds were comfortable and the view looking over the Mediterrean was lovely. I would stay here again and would recommend it to people going to Tel-Aviv independently

I stayed at the Metropolitain for only one night, but it was a great stay. I liked that I could see the Med Sea, even though ... the hotel is located a block from the beach. The room was nice and clean and the hotel staff was very helpful. They sent two faxes for me without a problem. I did not get to eat the free breakfast because I slept through it.

The beach is only a block away and there are a few cute restaurants within about two blocks.

The Metropolitan Tel Aviv, Israel, is literally less than a block from the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. The rooms are small ... but that didin't bother us at all since our vacation was not about staying inside! The rooms were impeccably clean, as were the sheets. In the immediate area there are many very expensive hotels, but who wants to pay 4 star prices when you can stay at the Metropolitan for 1/4 the price of the hotel next door? The staff were nice and all spoke English. I recommended this hotel highly.

Restaurants all around, and a great outdoor artists fair Tuesday's and Friday's on Nachalot Benyamin Street a short walk from the hotel. The beautiful beach is less than a block, a 2 minute walk.
