Good Buy
tsop Oct 2, 2009
A great buy. Reasonable sized room with refrigerator and complementary boteled water. Easy walk to either A or B line ... Subway, Colleseum or Fourm. Great park next door and fun neighborhood to walk through. All in all a great buy.

Great location in Rome
****** Jun 21, 2009
Great location with views of the Colosseum, staff friendly, rooms small, but great top floor pool needed for hot summer Rome ... days, our rooms initially had extremely weak air-conditioning but we changed to rooms that were cooler.
Traveler type: Family
Rome is filled with tourists in the summer, if you want to see the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican Museum book online way in advance. Otherwise the entrance tickets are fully reserved and you have to pay for a tour at 60 dollars per person.

Mercure Roma Delta Colosseo Hotel
Perry Jun 4, 2009
This is a much better hotel for business than for tourists. The Colliseum is a short walk away, but all other Rome ... attractions are a long walk or taxi or metro ride from here. Internet access is 0.35 euro/minute if you use their computer. Full breakfast at 15 euros is pricey, but the cappocino and croissant at 6 euro is comparable to places on the street. Staff were helpful with questions, but a bit impersonal. Maybe too busy with so many customers. Check-in on a Sunday is problematic - had to wait until 5 pm for housekeeping to finish.
Traveler type: Family
Taxis are pricey in Rome and from the Mercure to the Vatican, for example, cost about 10 euros. Take the short walk to the metro station at the Colisseum and pay only 1 euro for the trip to the Vatican or many other places in the center of the city.

Good location, bad hotel
Europe Traveler Apr 9, 2009
Pros: Close to the Colosseum and the Metro. If you are lucky you can get a view of the same from your room. Cons: Rooms are ... very tiny. The night staff is rude and unfriendly. The day staff is polite but not overtly friendly. The hotel is on the main road, so a lot of traffic noise
