My entire party was very impressed with the location and beauty of the hotel. The staff was very accomodating and breakfast ... was a plus. The rooms were spacious and clean and we were able to walk next door and have a great dinner.

A bit overpriced, but nice for a weekend

Hotel staff was very helpful, with good recommendations and discounts for local dining and events. There was an odd smell ... (perhaps trying to hide cigarette smoke?) in our room but otherwise the room was clean.

Best hotel for the price

We went to Payson to escape the Chandler, AZ heat. At 5,000 feet we did just that. The motel room we stayed in was ... remarkable for the price. I have spent twice as much and not had as nice an experience. The room was clean, large, well decorated and had all the amenities (including a huge stone fireplace and refrigerator). The continental breakfast was very good, especially the fresh make your own waffles. The setting is so peaceful and quit yet centrally located in Payson and within walking distance to many eating places including one of the best steak houses in the state. My only complaint is that the mattress could be firmer. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants the most value for the buck.
