This hotel was great .We visit this area 2 to 3 times a year but had never stayed at this hotel before before . We have a ... large family and its kinda hard for my wife and I to have privacy in a hotel with all the kids. This was the perfect set up and everyone enjoyed the stay . The staff were more than helpful and quick to assist .We will be staying again.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. I have a 8 week old baby and needed a place that had a refridge and microwave and ... this place had that. It also had a dish washer and stove top. I was very inpressed. Breakfast was nothing spectacular,muffins, cereal, cofee and juice, but if you plan on staying a long period of time you can just stock your fridge and cook your own food. I wanted a place that felt like home and that is what I got. Oh! House keeping comes every 3 days but they brought us what ever we needed since we wee only there 2 days. Very nice staff.

The front desk staff (both day and night) was the friendliest and most helpful I've ever experienced at any hotel. This was ... an awesome hotel, great price for what you get too! I'd definitely go back. We live in Mount Pleasant and just stayed there to use pool all day and watch fireworks (which we could see from patio area outside of hotel). We will be staying here again next 4th of July for sure!!

We stayed here because all of the other Patriots point hotels were booked for our particular night, so we gave Mainstay a ... shot. It has a great location within minutes of downtown chas. and mt pleasant, however, our room absolutely reeked of cigarettes. The sheets, the towels, the pillows, everything smelled like smoke. We even saw another guest complain about their room smell, but the front desk didnt/couldnt move him. The AC in the room worked great, but it was non-existent in the hallways outside the rooms, so it was a 50 yard walk through a 90 degree hallway (which only increased the dingy smell) each time we left the room. The service was fast and friendly. It is a decent stay, if you are in a pinch, but I wouldnt recommend it to my friends or fellow travellers.
