Hotel nice enough. Not a bad stay. The only issue I have is at check in we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to a suite ... for only $50 a night. We did, but the quality of the "suite" was not great, plus we were charged an extra $20 a night for a newspaper and two bottles of water. This was a rip off. I would recommend you do not upgrade it asked at check in. It isn't worth it.

Staff solicitations while walking through the hotel and casino were over the top and annoying. Dirty dishes outside of ... neighboring room for almost one day was offensive. Inconsistent housekeeping schedules. Signs in room indicated the hotel wanted to be "green" by reusing towels, however the staff replaced our towels daily even though we hung them up as our indication to reuse. $10.95/day for two bottles of water and a newspaper is a rip off. No safe in the room either.

I called in advance for a king sized bed rather than two queens in the "Pyramid Suite". Of course when i arrived they only ... had a room on the fifth floor with 2 queen beds and their reply was "its upon availability at time of check in" which is BS when they take your money the second you confirm your reservation you should get the room and bed you requested and payed for. (as a note, floors 1-5 don't require a room key to access the floors which means anyone can lurk around) The room with the 2 queens was extremely disgusting. It had hair in the hot tub, filthy carpets and furniture with horrible stains, broken lighting and outlets, needed dusting, and a view of the back of THE hotel at Mandalay which was nothing like the picture in the website. Fortunately, they accommodated me by relocating me to another Pyramid Suite on the 18th floor (which requires key access). It exceeded my expectations, but had a broken refridgerator and the air conditioning didnt work. Luckily it was october and not july and i didnt need to rely on the A/C to keep cool. Had I complained im sure they would have accommodated me but I didnt feel like moving rooms again. Overall the rest of the hotel was immaculate and friendly. The food was excellent too. Nightlife and entertainment was way below average. The casino was average. Lighting and noise is extremely low in this hotel.

I would say this is an ok hotel/casino. Rooms were ok. clean but nothing to write home about. It did the trick for sleeping ... and showering. It is far away from everything on the strip. Be prepared to walk or take the monarail by the MGM. cocktail waitress were the worst iv'e seen on the strip. The buffet was not worth the money.Actually the buffet was real bad for 4 times the money. Slots were very very tight.I stayed four nights and not only didnt I win but I didnt see anyone else win anything over 100. I gambled about 12 hours a day. Playing dollar slots betting 2-5 dollars each spin Lax night club will take care of u for being a guest. ask to be on the guest list a day in advance. comps are bad to for gamblers. check in was pretty quick. I checked in at the towers which had a low line.I dont plan on going back. would prefer hotel in the middle of strip.

Fees, Fees ,& more Fees This hotel had fees for everything imaginable, room was not as I expected. I personally think the ... 14.99 price per day for internet service was ridiculous . I did my part to conserve water but how could you when the water took twenty minutes or so to get hot ! I don't think I'll be staying at the Luxor anymore, I am totally disappointed[...]The guys in the valet parking area was friendly and very helpful and I think thats the best I can say for the Luxor

BB Nov 3, 2009
Really liked that we could check in early. It cost $10, but was well worth it (we checked in at 9 a.m.). The pillows and ... shower were super!! Beds comfy too. This hotel is right at the end of the strip, so did a lot of walking. It cost about $10 to cab it over to Fashion Mall at the other end of the strip. Cost about $20.00 in cab fare to get to the Premium Outlet Mall. Hotel quite classy... feels a little upscale. This would be the perfect Hotel if it was just a little cloer to the middle of the strip. But I would book this hotel again

Stephanie Nov 2, 2009
Our room was next to a maintenance room so it was very noisy @ night. The mattress was very hard & uncomfortable. The ... lighting in the room was poor. The televison was very old & had a poor picture. The shower drain cover was broken, kind of dangerous. When the toilet flushed it sounded like a bomb was going off The lighted make up mirror was not working. Definately not worth the $122.00 a night price.

anonymouse Nov 2, 2009
Upon entering our suite that we paid for, we were appalled at how out dated the decor was. I mean who has a 27 inch TV in ... there room any more? The couch in the room had disgusting stains on it. Use your imagination and you can probably figure out what the stains were. When we actaully went to bed, we woke up numerous times sleeping directly on the most disgusting mattress ever. The bedding was too small for a king size and continued to come off. We woke up feeling disgusting. We only stayed one night, even though we had a two night reservation. The service is the restaurants was horrible and the staff was very rude. We ordered tickets to a show that the staff reallt talked up. Once we were watching the show, we were overcoming with teary eyes and coughing due to the fog machine. The women in the show had some serious air brushing on their pictures because up closes they looked extremely old and worn. We left the show early

hotel is accessible via tram or walkway to other hotels nearby. Felt safe with security around. Rooms were big and ... comfortable. Only problem is the room temperature. It was cold and there wasn't any controls. Big bathroom and shower, and nice amenities for a price ( called resort surcharge which is unavoidable, about $10+ per day ). Food at the More Buffet was not as good as i expected. The "chinese food" was too salty for my taste.

Our bed was terrible. When you laid in it, it was like a hammock, the center touched the floor, and the sides bent upward. We ... asked for another room, and the staff acted terrible and snobbish. They put us in a room all the way across the hotel. I am handicapped and had to walk there with a cane and back. The bed was no better, so we kept our room for the night and notified the staff. In the middle of the night, the security burst into our room as we slept. It scared us to death. They told us that no one was supposed to be in the room. We explained the situation to them, and they left. Needless to say, we didn't get any sleep and we didn't stay for the second night as we had planned.
