Lovely grounds
WRobinson May 23, 2009
the grounds were lovely, but for the $$ i expected comfortable nice bedding and was very disappointed. the furnishings in ... our room were very outdated and the mattress was not comfortable. the bedclothes reminded me of something my grandmother had on her guestroom bed in the 70's. would not stay there again.

The complex next door (I forget the name because it is a very complicated spelling) is very charming and lovely. Looks at first like just a kitschy mall but when you go inside it is unusually lovely.

Next door to Los Abrigados is Tlaquepaque Village, a replica of a Mexican Villa with beautiful shops, restaurants and a small chapel that sometimes hosts weddings, and other times hosts concerts. The shops offer southwestern art and also, galleries that showcase local artists.

Best for Families
Doralis Dec 8, 2007
The weather was unusually wet for Sedona, It was in fact rainy and cold when I checked in. The front desk staff was friendly, ... but we had to drive to get to our room. The room was big with a living room area and a small kitchen. The decor its outdated, but the beds were comfortable. The bathroom and the vanity are separated and the vanity area has good lighting. The room has a balcony that overlooks the kids pool. Overall it's a nice spacious room that can accommodate a family and the kitchen with all the appliances works best for families with young children who might not enjoy a dinner of lamb with rosemary. We had dinner at Joey (and had lamb shank with rosemary and risotto), the service was great, the food was good and the warm bread was fabulous. Later that night when we decided to have another bottle of wine, despite the storm and rapidly rising Oak Creek the bottle was delivered, just as we noticed that there wasn't a wine opener in the room. That was rapidly solved by a staff member who brought one, again despite the stormy night.

Luxurious
David Aug 17, 2007
Los Abrigados is an overall luxurious accommodation. The grounds are beautiful; the rooms are spacious and well-furnished ... with a couch, chairs, dining table, television, dvd player, stereo, stove, microwave, toaster oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc., etc., etc. The king-sized bed is comfortable, the closet and storage space is ample, the bathroom clean and well proportioned. We use the work-out facilities each time we are there and, though we don?t use them, know others are obviously enjoying the spa amenities, the pool, etc. Besides having a variety of excellent restaurants on the grounds, Los Abrigados is within walking distance of a brew pub, a Mexican restaurant, a French restaurant, and other eating places as well, plus a ten minutes? drive from dozens of other fine restaurants in Sedona, the most beautiful geographic area in the U.S. We already have reservations for our next stay in Los Abrigados.

Secluded getaway
Georgia Jul 22, 2007
Los Abrigados is a splended weekend getaway. With or without your kids. There is beautiful park and pee wee putting for the ... kids. Along the park take a stroll along the creek , skip some rocks or just relaxe and enjoy the sound of the creek on one of several benches on the creek to seat and enjoy. We had plenty of relaxing strolls along the creek and after dinner we strolled the shops. There are so many I was pleasantly surprised. Large selection of shops to browse.

Relaxed and Friendly setting
shirley May 18, 2007
Los Abrigados Resort and Spa was a wonderful setting for a holiday I had chosen to travel on my own. The grounds were ... beautiful and the two restaurants located on the resort had excellent food choices. The spa was heaven and the workout facility was expectional for a resort setting. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The kitchen facilities were great, fridge, microwave, toaster oven and two burner range. Certainly adequate for preparing breakfast, lunch or heating left-overs from the ample meals served at the restaurants. The free shuttle bus stop, located just outside the gates, provided access to other centres and the downtown area in minutes. My only drawback to this vacation was the mattress in my suite. It was extremely hard and did not allow for a great sleep.

Being located next door to Tlaquepaque Village was great. It was very quaint. Access was a simple walk across the parking lot and additional restaurants serving great food and many small shops were there for the browsing,
