My husband and I went for a weekend in Portland, and wanted a simple hotel room that was fair but cheap. The base room is a ... SUITE, not just a hotel room. Full fridge, kitchenette, cabinets with all dishes/pots/silverware, dishwasher, stove top, table and chairs, WI-FI, a huge flat-screen TV... way more than we expected. The rooms aren't huge, and it's not a luxury hotel... but it is SO worth the price. * be aware that this hotel is about 20 minutes west of Portland... we drove so it was no big deal, but you will need transportation between Hillsboro and the city*
