Stay at the beach

I requested a non-smoking room and was given a smoking room across from vending machines and elevator. Funky smell. Dogs? ... Cigarettes? The front desk changed the room the next day after telling me they would if they had any available after 1pm. Rooms not very clean.

Very close to Nova Southeastern Univ. ,lots of restaurants,gas stations,shopping nearby; easy to and from Ft.Lauderdale ... Airport. Clean,newish, upscale version of La Quinta. Our non-smoking room smelled slightly of old smoke,but very clean and tidy.Alarm clock did not work. No refigerator. I missed that. Nice breakfast,with make-yourself waffles. Decent elevator for upstair use. Enjoyable .

The housekeeping was not very good, and the desk staff were on the surly side. It was obvious that the hotel is trying to cut ... costs. The TP roll in the bathroom was 2/3 gone when I checked in, and there was no spare roll. I had to call for one. No refill on the toiletries, which I use, and I found a long black hair in the filter basket of the coffee maker the first day (I'm light blonde). The second day the coffee maker wasn't cleaned, and no coffee was left. The staff seems uninterested in being professional or providing good service. Not a very nice stay.

Family weekend trip. First room had no a/c. Second room given to us had no a/c either, but we gave up trying new rooms. ... Room fixtures were very "tired" and showed wear. Little or no hot water in bathroom sink. Linens were very worn out too. I hate rehabbed hotels.

La Quinta in Plantation Fla. at Peters Road, was very clean and comfortable with enough space for our luggage etc. Staff ... was friendly and accommodating. We plan to come back next year and would highly recommend this place.

It was a comfortable property. Usually, I am not pleased with most pet hotels. Animals are noisy. and often rooms are not as ... clean because animals often sleep in the beds with their owners. I didn't find out that this was a pet friendly hotel until I checked. When I check ed in the desk helper claimed that pets were usually resricted to the first floor, but I heard and saw pets on other floors. I probably would not stay here again for that reason.
