"The good, the bad, and the really ugly"
Mark Sep 14, 2009
We did not end up staying there because they did not have the king, non-smoking we requested, but we did look at the double ... room bed, but beds were saggy and deodorizer was so strong you couldn't stand it. Must have been trying to cover up smoking. Very long wait to check in and desk personnel not welcoming and offended we didn't want to keep the room even though they didn't have what we requested. Probably won't register for a LaQuinta ever again.

In Reno, don't go to the main downtown area--it is sleazy. Stay near the hotel.
--Nutmeg, Westchester, NY Sep 12, 2009
5 mins from the airport,9 mins from a catholic church, 12 mins from old down town casinos and souvenier shops, 22 miles form Virginia City -great shopping and beautiful scenery.

After driving a long time, it was nice to have friendly staff. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast muffins and waffles ... were good, THe hotel was easy to find off route 395, and there were numerous locations nearby to grab dinner.

When I read one of the review it said that the pool was closed. Now I wonder if the pool is closed all year long. Also I ... would of liked a microwave and fridge in the room. However the staff were friendly and did out of there way to accomadate us and they made up for all the things they didnt have.

Not the greatest La Quinta
Rick May 25, 2009
Overall was ok. Staff was friendly enough. Hotel was old and needed remodeled. Our bed was awfull!! Like sleeping on a ... cement pad. There was left over garbage in the room under the bed. The continental breakfast was not great compared to other La Quintas we've stayed in. Oh and the pool was closed, even though it was in the upper 80's the whole time. Wasn't worth the $100 a night we paid.

Nice enough but
Shirley Dec 25, 2008
OK, I just wasn't impressed. I've been staying some place else going there and was trying to save money. The room was small ... and the bathroom even smaller. The highway was right next to the hotel and you couldn't get away from the road noise since it was an overpass. I won't stay again.

Close to airport
Thomas Jun 19, 2008
I chose this hotel because it was very close to the airport; a five minute shuttle ride. The shuttle drivers were very ... friendly and helpful. The neighborhood itself had little to offer but the hotel did provide a free shuttle to the nearest casino which had several dining options. They also returned to pick us up when we called. Car rental companies were just across the way and very convenient. For a quick overnight stay it was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the other clientele were families and travelers. Very quiet and clean.
