I was in Nashville to record my first demo and needed something cheap and close to downtown. It was both of those. The hotel ... is old and in a noisy commercial district. The police were ther two out of the three nights I stayed. Not sure what for but at least six cars. Could smell someone smoking pot next door. Would not recommend if you have children.I would not stay again unless finances forced me to. Guess you get what you pay for. Definately an "rough" part of town.

Horrible Customer Service! Nasty!!
LaRae Upset Customer Nov 16, 2009
The Hotel Clerk was very rude and did not know anything about the area! When we called the front desk to ask for information ... on how to contact the cab company he put me on hold and then proceeded to tell me to come to the lobby that the cab was there waiting for us and I was only on hold for 30sec and I did not ask him to call the cab company. I proceeded to tell him that we were not ready to leave yet and he kept calling our room and telling us to hurry up even though we told him to tell the cab to leave and that when we were ready we would let them know. We then contacted them to let them know we were ready and he told us to come to the Lobby so we tried to get to the Lobby and all the enterance gates were locked and closed! We had to walk along the Highway to get to the front door to the Lobby! This is a very busy roadway not to mention Dangerous for two women to be walking on late at night! When we arrived at the Lobby there was no cab in sight! The rude clerk proceeded to inform us that we should have came down there when we first inquired about the cab company! Not to mention we asked why the gates were locked and why we had to walk around like that and why the cab could not pick us up from our room and he informed us that it was dangerous back there!!! Anything that we asked him about locations of other buisness' and attractions he had no idea about and he then informed us about just starting there and coming here from Pakistan and he didn't like the stuff around here! We just became more upset and asked him to please get us a cab and we waited outside in the cold for the cab! The room had broken drawers and stained carpets and stunk of sewer!! I would not recommend this dump to NO One!!

Just a Room to Sleep In
Jazzcop Nov 9, 2009
I went to Nashville to visit my sister so I knew that I wouldn't spend a lot of time at the hotel. I was basically looking ... for a comfortable place to sleep. The desk clerk was very nice and gave me a room with a king size bed. The bed was comfortable, but the blanket smelled bad and you could tell the top bed cover had not been washed in quite a while, so I had to sleep under one sheet. The washroom was clean with lots of towels, but there was no hot water in the sink, and the shower head had only one setting which was a spray. I found that to be very annoying. When I went to the desk clerk to check out after my trip, I had to sit and wait approximately thirty minutes before someone came to the desk. I would not stay there again, even for the price. You get what you pay for obviously.

myself and 3 other guys got the room for a football weekend.....walking distance to the stadium, more than the advertised 1 ... block.... but no further than if you had to pay to park somewhere. the biggest problem i had was with taxi cabs...... they told me at the front desk when i signed in that they would call me a cab, just press 0...... that didnt work, and when someone finally did answer the 0... they just gave me a number to call..... the cab companies didnt seem too eager to get there in a hurry... being right downtown, shouldnt take too long. also, the cabbies like to drive around and take the long way to get to places. i know my way around downtown nashville, but used the cabs as a convenience.. and they would go 3-4 blocks out of the way to run the meter up a little..... but still cheaper than paying for parking downtown, and much cheaper than the impound lot and/or dui charges... the hotel was fine though...... nothing fancy, but after reading the other reviews, i was quite pleasantly surprised!!!!!! there was a security guard on duty all the time, but if you are sitting outside waiting on a cab, dont try to drink beer in the parking lot :)

Bare bones hotel
Erik Oct 24, 2009
When I got the hotel, I was greeted by a very friendly front desk manager. Very nice! The room was clean and comfortable, but ... the door didn't really want to stay shut all that much; I had to make sure to force it shut each time I came and went. The breakfast was lousy -- don't even bother. I went to McDonalds and ate much better. The room smelled of smoke when I arrived, even though it was a non-smoking room; I vented out the room through the AC unit and the exhaust fan in the bathroom. This hotel is great if you're in town for a Titans game; it is within walking distance of the stadium.

I traveled to Nashville for Vanderbilt's homecoming, and did not book a hotel soon enough to get one near campus. The Knights ... Inn was VERY affordable, and therefore it did not have all the bells and whistles of a fancier/more expensive hotel. It is also not in the nicest area of town. However, I never felt unsafe, and the staff were very quick to please!! Also, there is a GREAT karaoke bar attached to the hotel where we spent an AWESOME night! (If that's your thing...)

Clean, No Frills Place to Stay
Historic Traveler Oct 19, 2009
Motel is located across the Cumberland River from downtown Nashville and just down the road from Titans Stadium. Bus service ... is great to downtown during day, but does not run late for those wishing to return after the late night music scene in the downtown area. Rooms are clean, but no real amenities. No alarm clocks in room. Price and location may suggest that the property is not safe. However, nothing in a two night stay ever made me uncomfortable. Motel was always quiet. Would recommend for traveler on tight budget, not requiring amenities or extremely close access to downtown services or entertainment venues.

Don't go here Oct 5, 2009
I believe it is less than a mile to the convention center, as the crow flies. Just a pesky river in the way. You can walk to ... downtown, but at least half the trip is not where a traveler would want to be walking at night. There is no access to the hotel area from the front desk except by walking all the way around the building. Too much basic maintanence and cleaning has not been done for me to ever go back. If I had any sort or alternative I would have walked away the first night, regardless of cost.

I noticed a lot of reviews stating the room was dirty. My room was very clean. The door sticks and there was no alarm clock ... in my room, I'm glad I brought my own. Breakfast consisted of danish, cereal, bread and coffee. Gas station next door if you want some snacks. They had two vending machines in the entrance. There was no free shuttle service as the listing said. Nothing to do there. Pool table room locked.

I did a lot of sight seeing. Location was good for that. The rooms were musty smelling and the tub didn't drain well at all. ... Shower faucet was not too good and the curtain attacks you while you shower. Bring flip flops for shower. Watch the commode when you flush because it might suck you down it and it is known to hop in the floor. Craziest thing I've witnessed in some time.

When I first pulled into the parking lot I was furious, thinking this COULD NOT be the correct hotel, but sure enough it ... was.The photos are very decieving. I was scared, literally. The building looked like it was falling apart and it was in a horrible neighborhood. I found out from the cab driver it was where the drug dealers hung out and did business and there was fighting in the back parking lot. I asked the manager if I could cancel and he said no I would have to talk to Orbitz. It was horrible, by far the WORST place I've ever stayed.

On Broadway is my favorite place to go to eat, if youre starting the evening or if you get hungry while out bar hopping on Broadway or Second. It's called Bailey's Irish Pub and Grille and it is in the middle of Broadways towards Second fiddle and Legends. If youre looking for a good selection of drinks, beer, and an awesome food menu then this is place to go. They also have so many TVs for all the games on, an upstairs club, and pool tables and ping pong in the back if youre looking just to hang with a group of friends. We normally like to just hang out back there and order food and drinks and play pool. The service is amazing and everything they serve is delicious. (Including the Black Forest)

Go to Broadway St for nightlife!!! It's got all the action (clubs and restuarants) and it's close. Parking can be as high as $25 unless you find one that's $10-- but you WILL. It's best to pay the machines and get a ticket for your window -- I just worry people are pocketing the cash and that I'll be towed, BUT I did pay a guy this last time and parked in the middle of it all, by a tattoo shop, well-lit for $10. So expect that. On Fri-Sat nights, there is a lot of cover for places like BB Kings and Wild Horse Saloon, so expect that...usually around $10 a pop. If you go before 10, get stamped at all the places with free cover, then you can go back into them all night without paying cover. HAVE A DESIGNATED DRIVER the pigs, er cops, are not kidding!!!! We decided not to pay cover to places to eat (I had my 18 year old brother with me...), and opted to eat at Joe's Crab Shack where there was no cover to get in and we had a GREAT meal and GREAT service at 11 pm; a lot of places charge cover only after 10 pm. But places like chain restaurants don't have cover, like Hard Rock which is also off Broadway. Stick to Broadway and 2nd and 3rd streets, you'll have a GREAT time. =)
