Walk to NAU!
Mom of NAU student Aug 23, 2009
This is a good, clean, basic motel right next to NAU. There is no pool or jacuzzi, and we weren't able to get the wi-fi to ... work with our laptop for some reason, but the bed was fairly comfortable and we slept well. The breakfast is carbs, coffee, and juices, but is enough to kick-start your day. It was not noisy there, though you could hear the train whistle at times, but it wasn't too loud. The price was fantastic, and we were only there at night for sleeping anyways, so we didn't need many amenities.

You Can Do Better
Annoyed Aug 6, 2009
The "breakfast" was a joke. Mini-donuts and toast. They botched our check-in and made me pay via credit card even though I'd ... already paid Orbitz. Their response to the situation was "Talk to Orbitz". Happily, Orbitz was able to straighten things out once we got home and called them. The motel is old and the walls are thin. We could hear traffic all night and pretty much everything happening in adjacent rooms. No soap in our room (much less shampoo).

The Flagstaff information center is a good starting point, and has a small gift shop with a variety of Rt. 66/Flagstaff items, including a very decent Rt. 66 baseball cap (with "Route 66" on the front & "Flagstaff" on the back) for only $5.99.

Quality better than expected
Boidd Aug 3, 2009
We'd seen some negative reviews of Knight's Inn, so we were pleasantly surprised to find a clean (& clean-smelling) ... non-smoking room with a small refrigerator, microwave & coffee maker (& the TV included HBO). There was also no iron in the room, though the staff quickly provided us with one. The closet area didn't have any hangers (which we probably could have gotten if we'd asked, but we ended up buying a few cheap ones at a nearby Wal Mart), & there was no lock on the bathroom door, but those were very minor issues for us. The "continental breakfast" was pretty much like most other "continental breakfasts" I've seen .. not much besides bread (for toast), jelly, prepackaged honey buns, mini-donuts, coffee, tea & orange juice. Overall, Knight's Inn was perfectly adequate for our purposes, and exceeded our expectations for a reasonably-priced room without a lot of bells & whistles.

Hotel off the main road and very easy to find. The staff was very friendly and easy to work with. Rooms were a bit small, ... but we don't need much space. Rooms were clean but towels were damp. Continental breakfast was some small donuts, bread and jelly, coffee and juice. Good deal for a cheap price. Would stay again.

Nice room, friendly staff, low price
Phoenix Traveler Jun 25, 2009
The front desk staff were very nice; the room was clean, very comfortable and just the right size for a single traveler; the ... bathroom was well-kept and the hot water was just that--hot. The room rate was terrific and the train could only be heard in the distance. I had rented a room the previous night at a different motel, on Route 66 for only $5 less which was a nightmare (train noise, dirty room, spiders in the corners, bathroom in disrepair). The extra $5 at this motel bought 100 times more value. My only regret is not having stayed here both nights.

The lady at the desk was very nice, and went out of her way to accomodate a special need we had. The inn is located right ... across the street from the college. The rooms are minimal, but the bed was comfortable, and we watched a free movie in the room.

Get what you pay for
Jason Jun 18, 2009
Basically you get what you pay for, maybe it was cause i was running off three hours sleep then worked eight hours then drove ... 10 hours to get to flagstaff, but i got lost looking for it but I'll blame that on mapquest... Anyways for a 30 dollar a night stay or so you get what you pay for a basic room, it was clean and was fine except early in the morning loud people outside leaving but not motels fault. Also only thing about the room i didnt like was the shower felt like i was standing in a light rain mist other then that it was fine and will most likely book there again since Ill be going to flagstaff monthly

It sucked. The sink was held up by a shower curtain. The Bedding had holes in it. We booked two day's and only stayed ... one. We cut our trip short to get out of there. They did'nt have a key for our room, so they gave us a key to another room. We booked a king bed....got a double.

Clean Room
Anthony Sep 7, 2008
The Knights Inn Flagstaff had a very clean room and it had a micro. and a ref., The hote didn't have any wi-Fi and it didn't, ... no shampoo or other normal bathroom necessities, a coffee pot with no coffee,we wanted to hang the do not disturb sign but again there wasn't any.The room did't have a table to eat at , so we ate on the bed, it was very uncomfortable. Needless to say other than being clean and close to the event that we were doing the hotel would not be one that we would be returning to.

Mary Anne Jun 10, 2008
The room was quite, clean & very comfortable. It was small, but I didn't mind that. There was also NO train noise if you ... turn the A/C on! Big Bonus! If it was not for the people that work at the front desk, I would have given this hotel a great review. We travel A LOT & these people need to work on their customer service & communication skills.

michael May 26, 2008
Room actually appeared to be two separate 1 bed suites, or even more probably, a suite and a storage area converted to hold a ... bed, joined by a bathroom. Also, there were hardly any outlets, and none in the bathroom. We had to unplug lamps and move a TV just to have places to plug in cell phones and curling irons. Temperature outside was below freezing and heater in room (the only one located by bathroom) did not function. When I reported problem, the manager (possibly the owner) seemed unsurprised, and uncommunicative. Without a word or explanation, I was given a small space heater only capable of warming one of the bed areas. In addition, the space heater would cut out after a while and had to be unplugged in order to reset. One of us had a semi-warm room and had to keep getting up to restart the heater, while the other froze all night. Miserable for both! The manager offered to make some coffee, but I chose to head for starbucks. Later, when i went to check out, the office was locked and finally a maid came down and took my key. Very dissatisfied.
