Our new restaurant, Andy's Bisto, opened in 2006, with excellent service and delicious food. Andy's Bistro offers dinner, breakfast and lunch, with a special flair directed toward healthy eating with a unique and creative menu. Besides the classic breakfast dishes, e.g., omelettes & eggs, our creative Chef, Chris Bruneau, offers Frittatas, Souffles, Crepes, signature multi-grain pancakes, and a special healthy children's breakfast that includes juice and fresh fruit for only $4.50. Chef Chris cruises the garden early at first light, to hand pick fresh flowers that later adorn the plates of delicious food. His presentation is matched by the food creations that greet the diner! For an added treat, our new coffee bar, Clara's Coffee, serves espresso and gourmet coffee in the restaurant, hot chocolate, and a variety of teas. All of this is served in our second floor restaurant which offers some of the best red rock views in Sedona. Prices are more than reasonable for such a spectacular view restaurant with fine food. You can have an omelette for as little as $4.25 or eggs and a pancake with pure maple syrup for $3.25. There's also a poolside outdoor cafe to enjoy a delightful dinner, breakfast, or lunch. Dinner offers continental cuisine with a bistro style menu. Our chef always prepares elegant dinners and specials of the day, served with his signature flair. Clara's Coffee Bar is the new espresso bar adjacent to our restaurant. Besides gourmet coffee and expresso drinks, the coffee bar is the place to relax with friends for some lite fair including sandwiches and salads. Hiking is a favorite activity in Sedona, and Clara's offers hiking lunches and breakfasts, since there is a hiking trail directly behind the hotel. There is nothing more glorious than stepping out on the hiking trail early in the morning...and now you can carry your coffee beverage and a homemade Cinnamon Roll, or Zucchini bread on that hike! For those who sleep in late, a lunch can also be purchased 'to go', including a sandwich, salad & fresh cookie with a cold or hot drink...and off you go!

The hotel appears so MUCH better on the website than what it really is. The rooms are smaller, they smell and they are in ... poor condition. We arrived at 8:30am and they told us check in was not until 3:00pm. I do not recommend this hotel.

Skip the restaurant onsite. Always crowded and overpriced. Go to the Mexican restaurant down the street. Javelina's is a short walk from hotel, with large selection and good prices.

Great Stay
Weekend Wanderer May 31, 2009
My wife and I stayed at the King's Ransom for a long weekend. We were in town for a friend's wedding and the hotel was in a ... perfect location to get around town. There is construction on the main road, but it wasn't that bad other than creating some traffic problems. The hotel's grounds are well-kept and create a relaxing atmosphere. The only complaint about the room is that the deck was shared, but it didn't really matter. Our friends from Sedona all raved about the restaurant in the hotel, but it was closed our entire visit. Not a big deal, we'll just have to come back. All in all a good place to stay.

There's a lot to do outside if you like biking, horesback riding or site seeing. There are plenty of services to offer walking tours, jeep tours, helicopter tours and even hot balloon tours. If you like to shop, you will not be bored.

Great Hotel
Kat Travel Moore May 5, 2009
The scenic drive from Phoenix to Sedona was amazing. Went to the red rocks, visited vortex sites, hiking, shopping, talked ... to the locals, who are just very happy living in the magical town. We were not happy with our first hotel, called [...] at Cheap tickets and she made arrangements for us at the Kings Ransome. Exellent service again, Thank you Cheap Tickets.

Clean, comfortable, nice pool
Frank Jun 28, 2007
An older building, but everything was very clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were a godsend in the hot desert, ... very well maintained, well landscaped with pergola, flowering shrubs, pine trees. Morning coffee on the patio with the cicadas singing was a bonus.

Tlaquepaque is a shopping center just a few blocks from the hotel, and is in itself an attraction. Built in the 1930's in a stucco Spanish style architecture, it is wonderfully shady, cool and has several nice little restaurants. The shops are eclectic but wonderful if a little expensive.

Great Location!
D EVELYN May 29, 2007
The Kings Ransom Sedona Hotel is well maintained, the pool area was excellend and very inviting, and the Bistro and coffee ... shop were very pleasant and had great coffee! The location was a very pleasant surprise as we could walk to the local shops or be anywhere in Sedona within minutes, but we were not located right in the middle of town where there was a lot of traffic and vacationing people. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything and we would definitely return and stay again at Kings Ransom.

Fortunately, the hotel moved us to a much better room. Other than that, the hotel is nice. Dining room is iffy on their opening tinme and breakfast.
