I stayed in this hotel because of the description of the fitness center. I thought there would be weight machines. Instead ... there was one large contraption that you used different bars on. I modified my workout as much as I could using the free weights. Finally gave up and decided to go back to my room to do core work. Room was so small I was rubbing my elbows against the bed on one side and the desk on the other. Furniture had torn binding on the arm rest and looked shabby. Overall a very average room.

HAd upgraded the room on [...] to an Executive King. Upon arrival and asking for a high floor, we were given a standard room. ... The front desk moved us to the Executive King (which was on the floor below the lobby). Upon returning from our day out, the room temp. was cold. After calling for assistance and waiting 20 minutes for the maintenance dept., we were told that the South tower (where are room was) had hot and cold pipes that you either got heat or air conditioning, but that was based on the weather outside. The heat would be activated once the outside temperature reached 45 degrees. The technician offered us a dinky heater that woould heat the room "in about an hour" We asked for a new room and was moved to the North Tower where we had heat but only a standard room. It was very small. There was a wedding going on that evening that was very loud and went on until after 12:00 p.m. The next day I asked for the room to be cleaned. When we returned that evening, there were only towels that were replaced in the bathroom, just put on the sink and the bed had not only not been changed, but it was not made. [...]

Good location. Comfortable rooms
Jolinda Oct 9, 2009
Everything about the hotel was as expected, very good. We stay at Marriot Hotels because they are consistently good. Only ... complaint was in the Bar/Grille area. We sat in a booth to order our cocktails with dinner. Wanted to have a conversation but were unable to hear each other due to the loud music being played over the intercom which was heavy duty rock music. We asked the waitress if we could have something alittle more "mellow" for dinner & not so loud. Her flip comment was "that's all we have". We moved to the bar & ate which was considerably more quiet even though it was full. This was surprising to us for a Marriott Hotel.

This hotel was located in a great spot! The staff was VERY friendly and did everything they could to make your stay pleasant. ... It is a very busy hotel, however, and I was woke up each night by people returning to their rooms. Hot tub had a lot of hair in the filters and scum on the top of the water. Pool had a lot of algea on the bottom in the deep end. The water was very clear, however. I reported these problems to the front desk and they said they would take care of it right away. Other than that, very nice place. Very clean rooms, too!

I like the hotel because it was very close to the airport, which was good because I had never been to Kansas City before. ... Rooms were nice and the staff was helpful. If the hotel had free wireless internet it would have been perfect! They only had pay wired!

After checking in, we found great shopping and restaurants very closeby. Parking was a breeze. We enjoyed the view of the ... lake from our windows, and the room was spotless and pretty quiet for a Friday night. Our 4-yr.-old grandson spent hours in the pool with us, which was not overly chlorinated, and had windows opening out on the lake and grounds. The airport shuttle was a great convenience to one of us with an early flight, and the beds were so comfortable that the rest of us slept past the breakfast buffet.

Kansas City Airport Marriott-Unbeatable
Nana May 28, 2009
Knowing we would be returning late that evening, we stopped by the hotel to confirm our reservation. We were pleasantly ... surprised when we were able to "check in" early to our room! Having our room key in hand made our trip to Manhattan much more enjoyable. We returned to the hotel after 10 p.m., requested a wake-up call to ensure our timely arrival for our early morning flight, and slept comfortably under the down comforters. It was a delightful and restful stay! We highly recommend this hotel for those flying in and out of KCI.

Love to travel May 11, 2009
We were there for a college graduation, and the closeness to the airport and freeways was a great advantage. They did not ... have a refridgerator or microwave, and the cost of snacks & food was high. They also tried to put us in a lower level (below ground) room which felt more like a jail than a nice hotel. This was at the bottom of the Marriot chain to our thinking, and that's too bad.

My review of Kansas City Airport Marriott
Katryna Aug 23, 2008
From the moment I entered the Kansas City Airport Marriott, I knew that I had made a good choice. The staff was very ... friendly and allowed me to check-in early because they understood we were tired from an early flight. The staff was also very knowlegable and gave excellent suggestions on places to eat and things to do. The hotel itself is in good condition and the rooms are large. The bed was very plush and comfortable, I slept like a baby. I also like the fact that it is right on the airport grounds, but I didn't even hear the planes. I enjoyed my stay there and The Marriott will definitely be my hotel of choice when visiting Kansas City.
