Iberostar Costa Dorada All Inclusive sits directly on the beach of Costa Dorada, just five minutes away from the bustling city of Puerto Plata, in the Dominican Republic. All meals, drinks, entertainment shows on-property, and most activities are included. The resort is fairly large, with 498 rooms and 18 junior suites - but all with an elegant atmosphere. Open plan lobby with seating areas and bar, main restaurant for buffets, three specialties restaurants with menu style dining are also included, as well as four bars & a snack bar. Guests will enjoy the large swimming pool with separate children's pool, in extensive tropical gardens. THE ROOM WE CHECKED INTO WAS NOT UP TO STANDARD-THE A/C WAS NOISY-THE SAFE WAS NOT ATTACHED TO THE WALL I COULD CARRY IT ... AROUND THE ROOM-THERE WERE ANTS ALL OVER THE ROOM-THE CEILING FAN HAD ONE SPEED AND THAT WAS FAST-WE HAD A 3 MONTH OLD AND WE WERE PUT ON THE SECOND FLOOR WHICH WAS DIFFICULT TO GET THE STROLLER UP AND DOWN THE STAIRS- NO ELEVATOR-BUFFET FOOD WAS GOOD-DRINKS ALWAYS A PROBLEM, THEY WERE WEAK IN ALCOHOL, NO CHOICE TO PURCHASE BOTTLED BEER-MY DADS PASSPORT WAS STOLEN FROM HIS ROOM-HE WILL NOW HAVE TO STAY AT THE HOTEL FOR ANOTHER TEN DAYS WHILE I SORT IT OUT WITH THE PASSPORT OFFICE IN IRELAND-BEING OUTSIDE THE HOTEL IS NOT REALLY WORTH IT, ITS LIKE THE WILD WEST,PEOPLE DRIVE LIKE CRAZY AND ITS SO POLLUTED WITH GARBAGE IN THE STREETS AND RIVERS, THE AIR IS POLLUTED WITH MOPEDS, TRUCKS AND CARS THAT NEVER HAD AN OIL CHANGE- I HAVE TRAVELLED AROUND THE WORLD AND I AM OPEN MINDED TO PLACES AND HOW PEOPLE LIVE,BUT THIS WAS NOT UP TO ANY STANDARD.THE HOTEL WAS NICE AND CLEAN ECT. I LIKE TO EXPLORE AND SEE OUTSIDE THE HOTEL, THATS THE POINT OF GOING AWAY.
