Great Location, Great price

This was a retreat for my husband and I but the hotel was well suited for children. It's a small walk to downtown Sarasota, ... which features fantastic restaurants and even a whole foods market. This was a great hotel! The food at the hotel was a little pricey and not as good as some of the food we found around the area. Overall the trip was great and this hotel was wonderful.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel. The location was only topped by the staff. The only thing I didn't care for was the ... room service food which was of poor quality. Otherwise, the restaurant was great, the stay was quiet and business meetings successful.

Great place, Great fun but I'm not Nancy

Experience was great except I spent 1/2 hour on the phone because my confimation came back to me addressed Nancy Johnson not ... Nels Johnson. I was told she had it all straightened out ... NOT! I had to spend fourtyfive minutes to an hour trying to get checked in because the reservation was still in the name of Nancy Johnson. I also had to call and change our dinner reservations for our anniversary.

This was my husband and I first time to Sarasota. It was a beautiful experience. We enjoyed everything from the Fiesta ... Beach, resturants, or just lying by the pool. This is an excellent location for Weddings, Conferences, or just a relaxing vacation. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There were so many things to do and see. I would highly recommend this Hotel and location to my friends and family. Excellent Staff too!

Location!location!location! Without the big price.Walking distance to the Ritz. Top notch facility's,room's very modern and ... CLEAN. What I expect from a Hyatt. Were were in town for a family event and directions to everywhere in Sarasota is easy from this hotel.St. Armand's Circle(amazing choice of dining and shopping) and Lido beach are 1-2 miles tops. Docking fees are extremely reasonable if you have or are renting a boat. The only downside is that the drinks are outragious! Bring your own or drink elsewhere. Will stay here again--most definately.

My husband and I reserved this hotel for a spontaneous 2-day trip and were extremely happy with this hotel and it's ... location. Everything from check-in to check-out was 5-stars. Very friendly staff, super clean rooms, above average hotel food. Breakfast buffet shouldn't be missed! Chef even greeted us one night at dinner to ensure our satisfaction. Swimming pool was out-of-the-ordinary with sloped entry and beautiful waterfalls as a backdrop. Our room was large and looked over the marina and out into the gulf. Even if you don't leave the hotel it is fun just to watch the yachts come and go. If you do leave the hotel it is close to museums and other attractions. There is a choice of open or closed balconies. Nothing negative to say about this jewel.

The highlight of our trip was seeing the John and Mabel Ringling winter home. The home was magnificent and I recommend spending the extra $20 for a tour of the private spaces. Price is a little steep but worth it.
