Wonderful weekend at the Hyatt Arcade
Paul in Durham Oct 26, 2009
Spent an autumn weekend at the Hyatt Regency Arcade and I now feel this will be my top choice all future trips to Cleveland. ... On my late arrival the friendly staff was excellent in attending to all of my needs. They were throughful in informating me that there would be a large event the following evening. My mini suite was spacious and spotless. Fantastic experience.

Comfortable, Quiet & Convenient

Within walking distance to Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and directly across the street from the 4th Street Entertainment area. ... When we checked in we were offered a "quiet" room because of a large wedding party taking place that weekend. We chose "quiet" and even though we could look out onto 4th Street, we heard nothing from the 8th floor. The valet parking was very efficient. The breakfasts in the dining room were delicious and the staff was top notch.

Where not to stay in Cleveland
Nana's girls Aug 30, 2009
I will start with the positive. Check in with a woman named [...]. She was a delight, pleasant, polite, informative, we had ... a great start. Front desk helper, man named [...], recommended a good resturant, even gave us coupons for a discount. That is the end of anything good about the stay. The room was this weird chopped up set up, was like being in an old store front. Windows across the front of the room looking out over the gallery. But of course you can't open the drapes because everyone passing by is looking in. Our "outside view " was the parking garage. So between the people walking and talking on the inside and the cars coming and going on the outside, there was very little rest. Also our room was not far from the elevators and we got to listen to everyone getting on and off there. When we were leaving the woman who checked us out asked how we had enjoed our stay. I explained the issues and said we were really dissapointed. Her responce was a flippant " yeah, well, we really apoligize bout that" I wish I had remembered to get her name because she was really rude. I will be writing to someone in management there at the hotel. I know she couldn't do anything about the way the rooms are laid out. But her whole tone was rude. It seemed to me maybe she has heard that so many times it has no impact on her.

Former Clevelander Aug 5, 2009
We were in Cleveland to go to an Indians' game with family members. We could walk to the game (and to the Rock and Roll Hall ... of Fame, which we visited also). The rooms were very nice, and the location in the Arcade was really unique. The Sunday breakfast buffet was one of the best we've had.

Stay here!

Like stepping back in time. The Arcade is a treasure in its own right. However, the hotel itself is modern in every way and ... its staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating in every way. Breakfast in the 1890 Restaurant was very nice, but well over-priced. My girlfriend went to the Marengo spa and fell in love with it. Her visit ran long and the Hyatt extended our checkout with zero hassle.

Wonderfully Wowwed
Chilebean Jul 19, 2009
The purpose of the visit was to attend the Women of Faith conference at the Q Arena. They (WOF) had already wowwed us with ... an unexpected seating upgrade. Then, when we got to the Hyatt, the receptionist apologetically informed us that we would be getting upgraded to a King-sized room, with a voucher for breakfast at the hotel restaurant. We couldn't believe it, and talked about pinching ourselves every time we entered the arcade. It was unbelievably cool!

Out the entrance onto Prospect Avenue, you are directly across from a pedestrian only section of 4th St. Up and down this little stretch of roadway are a wide variety (in both price and cuisine) of delightful restaurants/bars. The place was crawling with people having a great time, eating out at café tables. We chose the Zocalo Mexican Grill and Tequileria, and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Wonderful stay at a top-notch hotel
Married Buckeye Jun 21, 2009
The staff were amazingly helpful. We had a $30 breakfast credit, but since we were leaving before breakfast was served, they ... kindly converted it to a $40 dinner credit at 1890 Restaurant. It was an amazingly beautiful hotel, and a very unique experience. Highly recommended, as it is a great, great value for its price.

Beautiful Hotel but not with service
Stephanie Jun 19, 2009
The hotel itself was beautiful and the rooms were clean and quite spacious. What I didn't like was the lack there of service. ... My fiance and I went out for the day and were quite careful to check the room before we left. Since we both travel for a living, we are always very careful when we leave the room. When we can back almost 10 hours later, the bellmen who helped us with our packages, didn't even need to wait for us to use our key to open the door, as it was quite easy to push the door right open. Apparently, when the maid was in our room, she must have not closed the door carefully because the curtain was lodged in the door, making it very easy for someone to push the door open and take what they wanted. Thank god nothing was missing but the staff didn't too much to assist us other than having security come up to inspect the room. Technically, we should have gotten a free night but that did not happen. Then, the never took our laundry, I had to leave it at the desk with the night manager and the next day, after calling for my laundry later in the evening, I didn't even get back all the pieces I sent out. Only after calling, were they able to track down my missing laundry pieces. Overall I was pleased with the room and the hotel but they really need to bump up their service when things go awry.

We came to the Hyatt for a wedding and we were impressed as soon as we stepped from our car. A valet took our car and an ... awesome employee named [...] (head of security) loaded our luggage, waited until we checked in and brought our luggage to our room. He also printed out a map of restaurants in the area. The staff during the wedding was amazing! They were polite and friendly and very professional. The room was great, comfy bed with a down comforter! Check out was a breeze.

Hyatt Regency: pretty good for the rates
Zubin Jun 11, 2009
This was the best rate on a 4 star I saw in downtown Cleveland. Staff is friendly, and they have a nice package that ... retroactively gives you a $30 breakfast credit and free wireless internet. The rooms are spacious and the hotel design (having taken over an old shopping arcade) is pretty cool. They have a nice sized fitness center and have a backdoor that opens right onto one of Cleveland's main evening attractions: E 4th St.
Traveler type: Business
Step right out onto E 4th St from the hotel's back door and you have access to a plethora of restaurants, including one helmed by an Iron Chef champion. Aside from the dining variety, Cleveland's most famous music venue, the House of Blues and a high end bowling alley are all a few steps away.

Whit Jun 9, 2009
I didn't spend long in the hotel, was just there for one night. I arrived on a Sunday night and went out right at 10PM to ... try to grab a bite to eat. All of the restaurants nearby closed at or before 10. When I returned to the front desk they were sympathetic and one person offered to "call in a favor" at one of the restaurants. I wound up eating at the restaurant's lounge - the staff there was also very friendly and the food surprisingly good. The room was nice too.

The hotel is right by the House of Blues. Great venue. Check who is playing while you're in town. You can find good deals on the tickets. A small capacity venue (a few hundred), you can be right up close to the stage. Tom Waits played there (as you Raindogs know), Elvis Costello, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy plus all kinds of rock, metal, you name it. Eat at their restaurant and diners with tickets can go from their table directly to the hall without leaving the building. Good food too.
