The Hualapai Lodge is the center of activity of Hualapai tourism. From here, visitors experience whitewater rafting, off-road touring, helicopter tours, Native American arts and crafts, hiking, fishing, hunting and more. The Hualapai Lodge is also the starting point for a breathtaking drive on the only available road leading to the bottom of the canyon, just 19 miles from the lodge.
Situated on Historic Route 66, the longest stretch of highway left of the "Mother Road" of the 30s and 40s; the lodge retains the flavor of the period when Route 66 was a main passage from East to West. It is the main road through the Hualapai Nation.
Hualapai culture envelopes you as you pass through the doors of the Hualapai Lodge. You'll appreciate the vaulted wood ceilings, unique native Hualapai artwork, the specially crafted river rock fireplace and a nest of comfortable seating. The warm, inviting atmosphere encourages visitors to begin and end their days by sharing their personal adventures.
Relax after your Canyon or Historical Route 66 adventure with a swim in our heated salt water pool and spa, use our fitness center, and then recharge with a great meal at the Diamond Creek Restaurant. The restaurant is located on the property and offers Native American specialties such as the Hualapai Taco and Stew with Hualapai Fry Bread, plus all the favorite American menu selections. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The Hualapai Lodge is a 2 story property with elevator and offers 57 rooms. We are located next to the historical BNSF railroad line and just a 90 minute drive to Grand Canyon West and the Skywalk. Nearby Airport

Great location for the rafting trip
River Rafter Oct 13, 2009
We stayed at this hotel because we were doing the rafting tour of the grand canyon which leaves from the lobby in the ... morning. My only real complaint would be that the railroad runs right behind the hotel and you could hear the horns blowing throughout the night. They do offer earplugs at the front desk. We spoke to another couple that didn't hear a thing but they were on the side that faces the Route 66 and not the railroad. So I would recommend asking for one of those rooms. The restaurant that is connected to the lodge has good food. The help was friendly and the place was clean.

Good place to stay the night before you hike into Havasupai. It takes about an hour from hotel to trailhead.

Beter than expected
Joey D Jun 30, 2009
The room was nice. Large, clean and comfortable. I did not have problem with train noise as others mentioned. We were on the ... street side. We had the handicapped access room, so that my be why it was large. The staff was friendly, but minimally helpful. We left a good quality pillow and returned 3 days later but the staff said there was no pillow found. We know we left it, so someone must have taken it. I'd stay again.

This hotel was not horrible but it was not great either. Unfortunately, it is very close to train tracks and passing trains ... make a lot of noise throughout the night. I mistakenly thought it was close to the Skywalk Glass Bridge. If I were to plan another trip to the Grand Canyon I would skip both the Skywalk Glass Bridge and this Hualapai Lodge hotel.
