Fenway Park 2 minute walk
--herdey, Northville, NY Aug 26, 2009
Can't beat it for Fenway Park access. Close to Kenmore Square and BU. Lots of places to eat, drink and party before and after Red Sox games. If you want quiet, don't go when the Red Sox are home.
--Rise, Fresno CA Aug 21, 2009
If you're so inclined, the Baseball Tavern is right across the street from the hotel. In good weather, they have a roof-top bar (complete with baseball stadium type lighting) and the staff there were very friendly. It's a little pricey (my wife had a mixed drink and I had a bottle of beer - cost $11.00) but the atmosphere made up for it.

Overpriced as hotels go, but a nice price for this close in in Boston. The on-site Chinese restaurant serves American ... breakfast options, but they are not very good at it. Eat breakfast at Panera nearby.

Nice in general
new farmer Jul 31, 2009
I chose this hotel only because it was cheap. It was listed as "2-star" on orbitz, so I didn't expect much based on my bad ... experiences on some 3-star hotels. However, this hotel turned out to be nice. It is less than a mile from Prudential center and Sheraton. There are restaurants and supermarkets around. There is even a chinese restaurant inside the hotel building. The food quality was not that perfect, but it opens until almost midnight. The room was clean and quiet (considering its location) and had all necessary stuff including a safe. The bad things: the corridor smelled a little. The chain lock was quite loose. In general, I like this hotel.

Howard Johnson Fenway
PCsDad41 Jun 23, 2009
We were in Boston for vacation (my son is a HUGE Red Sox fan and had wanted to go to a game at Fenway). The hotel staff was ... personable and helpful, the neighborhood was clean and safe and the restaurant had an excellent breakfast. It's not a 5-star hotel, but if you're a Red Sox fan, it's an excellent place to stay (our room had a view of the player's exit and workout area).

You can see Fenway from the rooms!
RedSox Nation Jun 22, 2009
While the hotel is old and in need of remodelling, they do keep it clean. The bathrooms are little and very outdated ... (there's tungsten heat lamps in there instead of exhaust fans) and our toilet wouldn't flush unless you held the handle down the whole time. On the other hand, we only used the room for sleeping and it was fantastic for that purpose. It literally is next to Fenway Park and from our room we could see the players entering their private parking area. If you make a trip to Boston for the purpose of seeing Fenway and don't need fancy - it's perfect.

Don't rent a car! If you are in the city for a couple of days to a week - buy a Charlie Pass. It's $15 for seven days of unlimited travel on the subway, buses and ferry. Public transport is the fastest way to get around (and cheapest). The hotel is off of the Kenmore stop on the Green Lines.

Stayed two nights, you could tell motel was older but bathroom was upgraded and spotless. The a/c control was older version ... but worked fine. Excellent service from start to finish. Best of all, walked to Fenway, Subway station and Trolley station in less than ten minutes. Didn't like the pay for parking but worth it in the long run. Would stay again.

Perfect Spot for aTrip to Fenway Park
Chuck and Donna Jun 10, 2009
If you are going to Red Sox game at Fenway Park, this is the perfect place to spend the night! We could see into the park ... from our window, and watched some of the players arriving right from our room. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We were allowed to check in early, and they even called a cab for us when we wanted to go out for a bite to eat. There is a nice bar and chinees food right off the hotel lobby, the perfect after game hot spot. For an additional $20, you have parking as well, and parking can get very expensive in Boston.

Amazing Location!
Michelle-concert fan Jun 1, 2009
The hotel is the perfect location for anyone visiting Fenway Park. We went to a concert there and had a room on the back ... side of the hotel, it was so close that you could throw a rock and hit Fenway! We were even able to hear the sound check before the concert. The staff were very friendly and hotel was very clean. Great Value for money. I would not reccomend it for a quite weekend though!

Great Location
Tami May 26, 2009
There for Sox games, hotel was only steps from Fenway. Staff was friendly and helpful. There are many bars and restaurants in ... the area and the subway is within walking distance. Hotel is small, kind of smelly on the second floor by our room, but appeared clean. It was very noisy, but we were on the end next to the door. All in all if you just need a place to shower and sleep this hotel would be adequate.

Great location for Fenway Park
Red Sox fan May 23, 2009
Great location. Right next to Fenway Park and I was there for several Red Sox baseball games. The room was decent size. ... When I got to the room it was like being in a refrigerator. Super cold. A technician came and basically turned it off. Apparently unable to fix it and the AC remained off for the 4 days. It got pretty warm but at least there was a window that opened. The coffee pot had a bunch of crude in the water holder. Who knows when it got there.

Mojo May 10, 2009
The place is a bit "tired", but the staff was very helpful and what does it matter when you're a Red Sox fan and Fenway Park ... is right next store!! Perfect place if you're going to a game and there's plenty of after game activities within walking distance. Be warned this can be a tough place to get a room when the team is home, book as early as posssible.

No problems, good location!
roadtrip81 May 9, 2009
The hotel was clean and nice, I read other reviews on here that said it was nasty but took a chance anyway. I had no ... problems, the room was very clean, the lobby was nice, the grounds were fine too. You cannot beat the location either, it is a short walk to the House of Blues, next to Fenway, and not a far walk to the Back Bay area. They charge you $20 a night to park which is my only main complaint. The room is already quite expensive (which I guess it to be expected because of the location) but why ding us again for parking if I'm already paying alot of money for the room. The TV worked, so did the heat and AC, clean towels, water ran hot, shower was clean, housekeeping showed up, I can't complain. I didn't spend too much time in my hotel but if I had it, it would have been fine. The staff was nice, helpful and friendly too.
