I, upon checking out mistakenly left my electric razor in the room. Later that day I called about it and it was nowhere to be ... found. A little disappointing and it took a second call the next day to actually confirm this as nobody ever called me back.

Hotel at Wolf Road

Where to begin? When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was a very unpleasant odor in the lobby. Stale cigarette ... smoke/old motel odor? Next, walking down the corridor to our rooms, same very unpleasant odor. It is apparent that the motel needs a lot of work to bring it up to the standards and level of the major chains. Opening doors to our 2 rooms we found that both had that awful odor and one of them had not been made up from the previous guest! I went to speak with the manager on duty, who was embarrassed and very apologetic. She gave me the key to another room, but the odor in it was awful too. I went back to the manager again and she again apologized and was seemingly mortified. She now upgraded our 2 rooms to nicer rooms with king size beds. She was doing all that was in her power. The rooms were nicer, but they too had that awful odor. We stayed the night, but we would not stay here again.

This is a low priced hotel that turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The property is being renovated, and I got the benefit ... of this in my room. It was clean, with new furninshings, wall coverings, carpet, etc. A/C was new, and worked well. Bathroom was clean and all fixtures functioned well with good hot water. Common areas of the hotel do not appear to be renovated yet/completely, and they were a little rough and could use regular cleaning at a minimum. These were not a concern for me as I was only using the hotel for sleeping - not lounging or entertaining. Only negative - maid missed cleaning up the room.

This hotel is very convinent for us. It's very easy to find some restaurants we liked. The room is nice, but the staff made a ... mistake to give us a smoking room, which has some smell in it.Anyway, this hotel is nice.
